My daughter's teacher is Sister Maria Kolbe. My daughter LOVES her teacher (and is also considering the sisterhood, but THAT story is up there with Jesus telling my daughter she needs to read the Bible instead of clean her room. ).
She would love to get her teacher something special for Christmas, but I'm positive Sister probably has enough "smelly candles" and other such things, and being a nun, posessions aren't really her thing.
Any ideas on a good book for a nun or something else a "simple" person might really appreciate?? I'm really at a loss here.
Awww, that's so cute. Seriously, Victoria should make something for her. Do you have any good craft ideas? Sister Maria will probably most appreciate the thought behind a gift than a token gift itself.
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

There's a couple picture frame crafts we could do. I could get a pic with Sister and Victoria together and have her make a special frame for it. That'd be kinda cool.

Sounds nice. Can you give a brief synopsis?
Sure.... but Amazon is faster.....
Book Description
In this inimitable, beloved classic—graceful, lucid and lyrical—Anne Morrow Lindbergh shares her meditations on youth and age; love and marriage; peace, solitude and contentment as she set them down during a brief vacation by the sea. Drawing inspiration from the shells on the shore, Lindbergh’s musings on the shape of a woman’s life bring new understanding to both men and women at any stage of life. A mother of five, an acclaimed writer and a pioneering aviator, Lindbergh casts an unsentimental eye on the trappings of modernity that threaten to overwhelm us: the time-saving gadgets that complicate rather than simplify, the multiple commitments that take us from our families. And by recording her thoughts during a brief escape from everyday demands, she helps readers find a space for contemplation and creativity within their own lives.
Seriously... I think it would be a nice read for her.... Believe it or not I have given that book to ...gessh 10-15 women in my life.... gay, straight, old, young.... they all loved it.
I do not reread books.... but that one...about once a year!

Oooohhh. That's a good idea. There's 3 sisters and 1 mother at the convent at the school. I'm sure a good meal would be much appreciated (although, looking at Mother, they definitely are NOT starving!!).
