Hmmm. A few ideas come to mind:
-Chicken Soup for a Nun's Soul.
-A crucifix (you can never have too many) (somehow I feel the gateway to hell opening up right now)
-edible underwear (still in my mind from Curb this week)
-A bottle of Johnny Walker
-a card saying that Victoria will pray for Sister Mary whatshername, for the rest of her life.
-buy her a star
-...

there are some very beautifully illustrated "coffe table" bibles available. something she could share with the whole convent.

I'm assuming you don't mean "flip flops".
And besides, thongs are the
work of the Devil.

He does good work on some things.. Must be the "Idle hands are the Devil's Playground"

It would have worked better if I edited Mal's post and changed it to "good gift" instead of "good book".

My mom is a catholic school teacher and I asked her what the nuns that teach at the school like, I got a couple of answers,
-nice pillow (I guess like a lounging pillow)
-cookies, or a nice food basket with goodies they can share
-gift certificate to wal mart or target (because they like to shop)
Hope that helps

what about a gift certificate to somewhere she could splurge at. I would guess nuns don't have alot of disposable income and can't just go get some nice clothes or a haircut, etc. Plus like you said they get tons of smelly candles, candy, little figurines, mugs, etc.
