Margaritaville Beer

Post by UpstateNYPH »

Pardon me if this is old news or has been posted before, but I was unaware that Margaritaville had their own beer named "Lone Palm Ale". Read about it here: http://www.margaritaville.com/news.php

I had some at M'ville in Vegas. It tasted very similar to Newcastle or Negra Modelo. They no longer have Newcastle on tap there.

Sounds very good if it is like Newcastle! Is there any place online you can purchase a case of it?

was wondering if it was mass-produced... There is a place in Orlando on I-drive that had really good ale, then looking at the bottle, it said, "brewed and distributed by A-B". At least they seem to have put folks with taste on the project, it doesn't go down like Bud. :)

I was going to try Lone Palm when I was at M'ville in Myrtle Beach a month ago, but they were out. And for an extra few bucks, you can keep the beer glass which would have been cool...

Guess I'll have to drive back to try it some other time.
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

Unless the tast was caused by either poorly washed glasses or
lines that need some love, the Sunset was kind of nasty.....

I tried Key West Sunset Ale a while back when I was in Key West and I did not think that is was that good either.
But at least the bottle looks cool sitting here on my computer desk.

I won't say that they make great beer in KW... although it is better than Corona. Now, if M'ville would carry Negra Modelo... :D

I think the Lone Palm Ale might be brewed by Leinenkugel.. (spelling?).
I asked about it at CBiP in Algonquin, and I believe that's what the bartender said, but don't quote me- can anyone confirm?

No. The Island Ale is what is at CIP. That is the one made by Leine.

So... they split the business between the big two.

CIP and Margaritaville are not affiliated in any way, except that Jimmy Buffett USED TO own part of each.
