I just have to know . . . it's not a popular Canadian Thanksgiving dish that I know of . . .

There are certain things we have on Thanksgiving and certain things we have on Christmas. That's a Christmas thing for my family.

Tikitatas...green bean casserole w/those nasty ff onion things, is some nasty stuff..

I seriously think those onion things have never really been close to an onion, kinda like funyons..chemicals, onion flavored..

not a tradition for me and although I'm starting some new traditions that are being shared with me..thank heaven, this isn't one of them..

Always!

Come on, people! Not shopping on Friday after T'giving, no green bean casserole... buncha snobs on here... JUST KIDDING!!!!

Actually, we haven't eaten yet, but it's on the menu... I don't think it has the French fried onions, since my California chef brother is a cooking snob himself.

Ok...I'll admit I have eaten a version of green bean casserole..but it didn't have those awful ff onions in it..

I didn't get the recipe from the one who brought it..it had cheeze in it and was really good..

I prefer green beans, just the usual way..

The original vegetable casserole was invented in 1955 by Dorcas Reilly, then manager of the Campbell's Test Kitchen.

The Campbell Soup Company estimates that it will be served on more than 20 million tables this holiday season. :o

That is cause our parents raised us on it. So what are we serving to our kids during the holidays that they will say..."can't stand it anymore"?

I am here on behalf of the green bean casserole! Still LOVE it! But even more, LOVE the Durkee FF onions on top! YUM!

My sister made it today, and yes I had a (lovin') spoonful.

There was quite a bit leftover though, and I wouldn't touch it in leftover form!
