I think Kellie's husband might object. Nice try though Tim.

You never know, with the area code rule. I owed it to myself to try.

Hi Tim, nice to meet you. As lovely as making cookies sounds, my heart belongs to somebody else.

Tiki Bar wrote:Super yummy and easy... for those sweet/salty lovers!

Preheat oven to 350 or so (going from memory)

Fill a cookie sheet with round pretzels - not sticks, not shapes, just plain circles.

Unwrap a bunch of Hershey's kisses, and place 1 kiss in each round pretzel
(Some sit on top a bit, which is fine).

Open a bag of plain holiday m&m's - they are colored red and green (peanut would probably work too).

Place the cookie sheet in the oven for 2 minutes - just softens the kisses

Remove from the oven, and place 1 m&m atop each kiss - they will be melty, just push down to about the height of the pretzel.

When cool, pop them off the cookie sheet, and voila, tasty little morsels of holiday fun! :D
My family loves these things, I can't make them fast enough.

Apparently, "date-filled" will not be on Mings' menu.

As for me, chocolate chip and snicker doodles!

BTW Sy, each new batch of pictures you put in your sig line looks yummier than the last. And I'm drooling on my keyboard again. :D

I think mings would settle for just filling, to heck with the cookies... tho, without the filling, the cookies could be comfort food.. not that I would advocate eating to smother his pain.. :)

Dude, as long as you yell "bam" and act a little like you know what you're doing, then they are real into it.

Are we still talking about baking cookies?
You couild do like the commercial for the rice krispie treats and take a puff and put powdered sugar all over your face and clothes, exit kitchen with treats while giving a big tired sigh. Say, that's ok they're not that much trouble.

Eggnog Fudge

Makes 1 pound of fudge

2 cups sugar
1 cup eggnog
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
2 tsp. butter or margarine

Butter sides of heavy 3 quart saucepan; add sugar, eggnog and corn syrup.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.

Cook to soft ball stage (238 degrees), stirring only as necessary.

Immediately remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110 degrees) without stirring.

Add 2 tablespoons butter and vanilla.

Beat vigorously until fudge becomes very thick and starts to lose gloss.

Quickly stir in nuts. Spread in buttered 8 x 4 x 2 inch pan.

Melt together semi-sweet chocolate and 2 tsp. butter. Drizzle over top of fudge.

Score and set. Cut when firm. Store in refrigerator.Eggnog Fudge

Tips Make double batch always
Use Thermometer Use "good" Egg Nog.
Nuts not needed

this will not always set up
figure on between 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 not setting up

A eat..

B melt into Coffee 8) :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:

powdered sugar in the big city has a bad connotation...
