Ipod mini sound prob

Post by honeysucklevine »

My earphones that came with my Ipod broke, so I just went out and bought some regular ones, not Apple earphones. My Ipod was working fine before, but now the sound quality is awful. I tried a different pair of earphones, thinking maybe I got a bad pair but the sound is still bad. I tried reseting the Ipod and still nothing. Do you think its my Ipod, surely you dont HAVE to use Apple earphones to get good quality do you?

it's the 'pod. any set of headphones with that size plug will work with them. Granted, you will probably get better performance with more expensive pairs of earbuds or headphones, but ideally, any will work.

Urrgghh!! I was hoping it wasn't the Ipod, but I had it a feeling it was.

if you really want to confirm it, and there is a Bose outlet/store near you; go in and ask to test out your iPod with their top of the line noise-cancelling $300 headphones. If the music sounds like crap, you could probably bet a house payment/rent check on the source of the problem. On the bright side, the Apple Store should be right near by.. :D

honeysucklevine, I sure hope your iPod is o.k.

This brings up a question I have...

What if your iPod totally craps out, do you lose all stored music?

Actually I got my Ipod back to sounding decent again.....when all else fails just give it a little smack. I guess something must be loose....but at least it will work for now.
