JB Never Lost in the Music

Hey

I'm a fan since 1977, but when I think about it I can't recall one tune where JB is really lost in his own music. That makes sense cause you think of JB as relaxed, cool, controlled and laid back. Now this morning on my drive into work I was listening to JJW's Best of the Rest- particularly to Hill Country Rain. This is the animated full tilt-bogie version. I think it's awesome but then, I love JJW. Bottom line- is there a JB song where he really gets lost?

Not sure I'd say he gets "lost" in the song, but he definitely sounds introspective during "False Echoes"...

If by lost you mean passionate, I would also suggest...

Something So Feminine About A Mandoline
African Friend
Wonder Why We Ever Go Home
No Woman No Cry

I think it really depends on how many shots he has had first, :pirate: . If you listen to some of his shows from Margaritaville's towards the end the sets he is lost in his music many times. Both inwardly and outwardly, 8) .

From the "sadness" side of things, many good songs have been mentioned.

I think Jimmy also has a strong tendency to get "lost" in his music from the other end of the spectrum, too. To me, that's part of what makes Jimmy such an engaging entertainer...when he gets "lost" in telling the stories and laughing about "Gypsies in the Palace", his "School Boy Heart", or adventuring on the "Far Side of the World"...his joy is absolutely contagious. :D
