Most expensive ... $400 bottles for a bottle of Jaeger and 6 Red Bulls

Least expensive ... dime beers during Monday night football (each half until the first team scores)

Around here, you can get a pint of anything besides Guiness for $1.50, bottles are between $1.25-$2.00. Basic mixed drinks run about $2.00 and shots are $1.00-$2.50, depending on your poison.

In 2004 the team I coach was competing in Nationals, which that year was at Turkey Lake, Orlando. On the last day of racing all of the coaches and their girlfriends all went out to Margaritaville Orlando. We had a little fund of about $500. Well, the 11 of us spent the evening/night at Margaritaville Orlando and when I cashed out the tab...........$1100! People were ordering the foo-foo stuff and margaritas and everything else on the frikkin menu. I have no idea how it compares, because I have no idea what we ordered and who it was for, but over a grand for drinks - $100 per person. I didn't drink that much. Someone owes me some drinks.

One time we went to the Bryant Park Grille (or Bryant Park Cafe, I forget what it's called ) right behind the NY Public Library in, surprisingly enough, Bryant Park. I had vodka and grapefruit juice, the bartender used Belevedere and it was $9. BB King's charges $7 for Sam Adams.
Larry, you may be a lawyer, but you gotta stop going to these big image places and hit up the pubs and bars. There's a whole ton of good deals out there.
What I find more shocking than a $9 drink is that fact that no one has made fun of Larry for ordering a vodka and freakin' grapefruit juice!

Mind you, in Chicago, I could get maybe only 7 Jager bombs and 1 caipirhinia with $65...
can you even get caipirhinias in chicago?

Caipirinha

A RickBot notes: The best caipirhinias were made for me on the beach in Rio. It's so simple. You cut a lime into eight chunks and stuff in in a jam jar, then add a few spoons of sugar and us a wooden spoon to grind the sugar and lime together. Fill to the brim with lumps of ice, and then fill to the brim with cachaca (a sort of rum, made from cane sugar rather than refined molasses). Screw on the lid, shake hard, and pour into a glass.

It's so easy, and yet I've ordered caipirhinias all over the place in New York and London, and they never get it right. On Saturday, Arkansas and I made an entire saucepan of the stuff by subsituting the pan for the jam jar, and it was among the best I've had.

Works well if you replace the limes with strawberry or cashew too.

probably can. They have rum and limes in Chicago.

it was more the showing up in a pinafore and asking where Mr. Bojangles was that night that gave you away.

My worst moment was in New Orleans. After 17 straight hours of drinking, I was not thinking to clearly. Ended up buying $150 bottle of champagne. I then knew I was in trouble when I had to give finger prints in order to sign my bill. Bill came to $1,100. I think, well I know, I am still paying that one off.

Please take note, I should no longer be allowed to drink in New Orleans.
