Jimmy's part-time ukulele player, Jake Shimabukuro, who performed in some shows during this year's tour is going to be on Conan O'Brien this Tuesday night

So ... this is the show that is actually on WEDNESDAY 12/14 - very early morning, right? I need to set my VCR. (I probably should play it safe and program it for both shows.)

The schedule on Jake's website says he's going to be at The Lion's Den on Sullivan St. in Greenwich Village tomorrow. But showtime is 9:30 and there's an opening act so Jake probably won't be on until sometime after 10:30 and it's a workday. I think I'll have to pass.

He told us in NH that he's a huge Conan O'Brien fan, and that he was nervous about the show. He sure didn't LOOK nervous!

Actually, a friend in Hawaii knows how much I love Jake's music ..and Jake was playing near his house the day after thanksgiving...so this guy braved the shopping crowds...and the time difference..To find Jake before he started..and called and Jake was on the phone!

We talked for like 10 minutes..! About the tour with Jimmy and Jake's music and this appearance....What a nice man!

And a few days later....?? I got a package with 2 of his cd's and 2 DVD's..all signed by him to "Connalulu".....

What a great birthday gift!
