If you are gonna have the death penalty, you might as well use it. I hope all those murderous CRIPS are watching tonight.

Bettewr Hunker down....The brothers done said dey be gonna be breakin'bad if Tookie ain't got his death sentence over turned...

Bye Bye Tookie...Too many years have gone by allowing you the gift of life that so many others have lost loved ones and family and friends. Not to mention the rest of the pain and hurt your idea led too.
You are proof that the death penalty doesn't work..... you are also proof that ENFORCEMENT OF THE DEATH PENALTY DOES WORK. How proud are you of your legacy and all the people that have suffered because of it? The books you wrote to supposedly save kids from your creation??? How many lives and how much pain do they replace and how many lives have they saved? Is even one life that was wasted, or that the lives you personally took, worth any of your creation? Go like a man and admit what you did was wrong and admit you have gotten far better than you deserve or any victims were ever given.

I won't tell you to sail on...I hope your ship wrecks and you have to relive eternity going through the endless suffering of what you brought about. You got "free" medical and dental care ( at tax payer expense ) and got 3 hots and a cot. Far too many many others only got a box and six feet underground.....and far too many young men are in prison because of Y-O-U.
Enjoy it!!! You knowinglingly bought the ticket and now it is time to cash it in...and good ridence....
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may...

It is Official...Tookie is toast....well not litterally since the electric chair was not used.

Does anyone find it ironic that people that are sentenced to death are injected with sterile needles? Are they afraid infection might kill them or something ???

Anyone have any idea how much the chemicals cost to put them to sleep with? That our tax dollars pay for? Rope is pretty cheap especially when bought in bulk.........

Bullets can be very cheap too...
Then again a guillotine can be built inexspensively and at cost using prison labor and be reused. The design is simple and energy efficient and no doubt cost effective and more of a deterent and to be feared more than being stuck with a couple of needles.......

No doubt rope or bullets would be more cost efficient than the chemicals... then again they could use the electric chair powered by wind generators.....and make the person sit and watch for the wind to blow the turbines for effect........oh my the inhumanity of that....
It seems everyone forgets about the inhumanity that the person had towards their victims and all the Rights that were taken away from them and the loss their loved ones and friends must deal with in the 12-15 years it takes to execute someone....let alone all the tax dollars it takes.....
Anyway Bye Tookie...and GOOD Riddence. YOU made the decisions and chosed your path. You lived by it and now you died by it...You took lives and created a system that has taken and devastated even more lives. Hasta La Vista!!!

If you really want to economize, you combine the execution with firearms testing, Navy Seal training, or perhaps fireworks demoltion.

NOTM Dec 2005
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

Did anybody find it interesting that his appeal had to go to "The Terminator"?

I'm surprised such a supporter of the United States Constitution would be outright in support of cruel and usual punishment.

What's cruel or unusual about it?

It's quick, painless and peaceful, therefore not cruel. Everybody dies, so it's not unusual either.

Originally I had quoted Sam's rant because I thought it was asinine and I disagreed with it, but then I didn't want it to seem like I was singling him out, so I edited my post to be a general statement rather than a response to Sam's nonsense.

Ok. Now I've fixed my post so it's as originally intended.

oh come on... Sam will be back in a couple hours. He'll turn fuschia; start cutting and pasting like mad from his favourite websites; then when someone disagrees with him, will claim they misquoting him; and the fireworks...

oh. Yeah. I see your point.

I can hear the tumblers turning already.
