I'll make sure to mention it to him in KW when I see him. "Yeah? Jimmy? about playing here... Bag it. Cabo is where you want to be. Besides, I hear Sammy Hagar is holding a seminar on Good Tequila." He'll probably just beat feet straight to EYW and fire up the Falcon for a trip overwater that night. :)

I'm hearing that the organizers are trying to book a 'major act' and getting rid of all the other bands at the Casa. No leaks on who it will be. That might explain the higher registration. I guess it would be cool to see a major act there but it would really stink if they get rid of all the pool acts. That was always one of the coolest things about the week to me.

Anybody else hear this?

I haven't heard, either way, but I hope this isn't true. I don't want to see a major act. For me, the big draw of MOTM is seeing ALL the different performers. If they decided on one big act, and that's it, I would seriously consider skipping MOTM....

And furthermore, I think if they're going to make such a huge change, they need to say so when registration opens, so people can decide whether or not they want to attend a different kind of MOTM than what's been done in the past.

If what you are hearing is true, I will be one seriously unhappy PH.

I doubt they would do that. I bigger act Friday or Saturday night would be a nice change but it wouldnt have to be a huge act. I am getting a little tired of Jim Morris all over the place. I would like to see them mix it up a bit. I think the last 3 years have been pretty much the same.

The MOTM schedule will be pretty much the same as last year. There will be bands at the Casa pool bar, and the big music events on Thursday and Saturday remain in the schedule. Here is a link to the MOTM schedule, it is a work in progress and is updated as contracts are signed.

Registrations are coming in at a brisk pace, looks line another early sell out.

See you on Bone Island.

Thanks for the info. That is great news. Personally, I'm not interested in shelling out $ to see major acts at this event. We pay them enough at their concerts anyway. Do you happen to know if they are booking any new entertainers. I've enjoyed the acts in the past but I agree with photo gal that they need to mix in some new talent.

Question about Air Line Tickets for the first time buyer.....
Tickets on Delta.com and Travelocity.com have been holding steady at $430 for the past few months.
How long should a person hold out before buying?
Any other tips?

it might be cheaper to drive down. You can carry a bit more stuff, those puddle-jumpers aren't always amenable to large bags full of liquor. :D
