am I sad? No. Is that mans situation sad? Yes. But not because he gave away a diamond. It's sad because he lost somebody, for whatever reason, that depress him enough to make him do something as stupid as give away a $15k diamond.

A Veteran with a combat related service-connected disability rated at 80% receives less than $15,000 per year. You go tell him to work at McDonald's - I'm sure the Golden Arches will jump at the chance to employ a guy with no legs and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
There's a legless guy that works the Checkers drive thru in my city. He sits on a stool and twirls around to give you the order.
Is his name Matt? Art? Bob?
Spinner.

Can I borrow it? I'll give it back later and just tell Steph she must have lost it! :D :D :D
Duuuuuude... that is just soooo wrong. But a great plan. Let me know how it works for you (after you get out of the hospital...) :D
You guys are missing the point here..... LOL...... You have both met me..and my ring :D The ring is fabulous but IMO not to big and certainly not worth 15k...but if the insurance company wants to give that to me if I lose it.... cool!

No dear... you're missing the humour of Shane trying to give Steph your ring after he borrows it and then telling her she lost it when he gives it back.. Trust me. It's funnier that way. Not as lucrative. but funnier. :)

If you really want to make an impact, Shane, tell her that your love surpasses any object and that's why you're not giving her a ring. That your commitment to her is not defined by posessions.

At least you'll be single again.
