Two weeks ago my dryer and pool pump went out on the same day... this morning I started a load of laundry and noticed the washer is not going through the spinning cycle... yep, clothes just sitting there in a tub of water
I start tea and put bread in the toaster for a quick breakfast... the toast pops up... actually it's launched through the air into the garbage can. What the.... ??? Am I cursed?

That's funny Candy. Ummm. I think you should move to some empty field and assume a life with no modern items. It may be safer for you.

What do I do to lift this curse? Leave an offering for the appliance gods? The money for the repairs is coming out of my phun ticket $$ stash... damn it!

You must sacrifice a toaster to the appliance gods. Or a fax machine. and you must do this in the manner displayed on Office Space. Go to a field, bring a baseball bat, and go to town. This should please them.
That or move. Crap's haunted.

Had the same problem with my washer last month, cost me $160 to have the lid switch replaced. It won't spin with the lid up and if the switch fails the machine doesn't know the lid is down.
