Drink responsibly or don't drive

With New Year's Eve approaching, it'll be a night of partying... and heavens knows BNers can party!
However...PLEASE keep this in mind:
Almost everyone is going to have some level of impairment even with three drinks in their system...
Studies show the average person metabolizes a single serving of alcohol an hour...
A long island iced tea counts as
three servings of alcohol since there are three shots of liquor in a single drink....
If you have to drive... limit yourself to one or two servings of alcohol and don't drive for a couple hours after your last drink...
Just a friendly reminder to keep us safe and sound and out of JAIL

!
Have a SAFE and Happy New Year!

I see someone lives where you don't get "style points" for slaloming between parking meters on the sidewalk...

One of our own had the courage to share what can happen when you make a bad decision with regard to alcohol:

Once you've met a balding, bearded, bespectacled, pudgy guy, you've met them all.

The Party is at my house. And yes there will be drinks. And people are required to stay the night if they do, and they will, drink. Breakfast is provided in the morning

better yet, STAY ALIVE! Jail time and laywer fees can be repaid but if someone gets hurt or worse that would really stink.

Please don't drink and drive!!!
You might spill your drink and that's alcohol abuse
I won't be drinkin and drivin but I will be drinking and DJing a big party.
Once I'm drunk I might have to hit 'em with some Ice Ice Baby, Girl you Know It's True and a dance version of Sweet Home Alabama

probably one of the biggest fears I have with three young drivers on the road is that they would meet a drunk driver. I have spent a huge amount of time talking to them about never drinking and driving. I've told them i'd pay for a cab, pick them up, anything it takes. j
So remember all those other folks on the roads.

Hear, hear.
And for all you Designated Drivers,
Remember that this is Amatuer Night and you may encounter dozens of drivers who seldom imbibe any other time of year. Even if you are stone sober take sensible precautions.
Watch the intersections.
(Most accidents with injuries take place at intersections)
Watch their wheels.
(Impaired drivers may signal lots of things, but where they point their wheels is where they're gonna go.)
Look both ways, and backwards.
(Just because the light has turned green doesn't mean it's safe to proceed.. and the guy coming up behind you might not know that.)
Use your seatbelts -- and ask others to do so.
(Even though
you are buckled up, your front seat passenger may still break your nose with her skull.)
And thanks, from those of us who are not DDs tonight.
