so he's not going to ride the Red Line?
The only the way we will take the train is if we leave the car at Navy Pier and train around town all day. I can't take the train home from the CiP, that would be a logistical nightmare. If we can figure out a train ride that makes sense, we will do that.
Not likely. With that kind & amount of activity, I wouldn't even take FPP on the train... and I live here and take CTA travel regularly.
It's not like they were going to take him down to the bottom of the Red Line at the Dan Ryan.. :D
That makes no difference. The logistics of taking a very large inflatable palm tree on the train and on a bus is unrealistic. Cumbersome, time wasting and an inconvenience to other riders... :-?

`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

You saw the plan for Comiskey, Soldier Field, The Goat, WaterTower Place, and Wrigley, right? :D
Nice in theory. Not practical. Sorry... :-?
My partner in planning the tour, Davesnik, has a more detailed tentative itinerary we worked out the other day on the phone. We will try to share that in the next couple days. I hesitate to say we will be able to stick to a time schedule, but we will have a plan and try to execute to the best of our abilities. I figure we have about 5 hours or so to galavant around the City on Saturday afternoon. Trust us, we are not taking this responsibility lightly. I also need to PM at least one person who wanted a picture downtown and find out about a certain "mouse" from the St. Louis area that could be a big help to getting this all accomplished.

BHA was talking about a secret place, and I pulled the first semi-surreal one that came to mind. If pressed for a logical reason tho: Because 4PP is a dashing, handsome, manabouttown with a taste for the better things? :)

Are you talking about the Knickerbocker building?

Playboy is the 680 N LSD building, one block from my office.

Perhaps. The Drake is on Walton and Michigan on the north side of the street. On the south side of the street is a really tall building, older, that was the home to the original Playboy staff if I remember right.

I expect the passengers to participate in this adventure.

Oh the stories we will be able to tell. I may need a place for one hour photo developing near the CiP, anyone help with that?

There are several CVS' in Downers Grove. I just checked on their website. They are great at the 1-hour photos sweetie.......if anyone else has a recommendation however, please let us know.

We are taking this very seriously. We are working up a plan so we can make sure we utilize the time with 4PP the best we can! :) :)

I know where the Drake is... I actually worked there for like 3 days about 3.5 years ago. It's on the NE corner of Walton and Michigan as you suggest and across Walton to the south is the famous Knickerbocker hotel. Maybe Hef worked from there... not exactly a must-see for FPP though...

Knickerbocker is between The Drake and the Hancock Tower? I also figured you knew where the Drake was, but was using it as the anchorpoint for directions to the building.

and you have to admit that it's better (the old Playboy offices) than the Circuit City on Chicago and about Rush... :D

Yes. Knickerbocker across from Drake.

And what's better than the Comp USA? I don't get it?

Are you really trying to name off every last possible landmark in Chicago you have ever seen?
