We are going on a cruise in mid-March that is leaving out of Charleston, SC. It is not that far from here, so I would like to drive over a day early or stay a day after we get back in off of our cruise. My question is, what is there to do? What is there to see? I've always heard great things about Charleston, but I don't really know anything about it.

when are ya coming ? will it be summer? most people like to walk around downtown,and take a carriage ride. there's a great aquarium, and an imax theater, sunset sails, beaches, oysters by the shovelful at bowen's island. pier fishing at folly beach, kiteboarding and windsurfing and regular surfing too. Hunley museum, magnolia gardens, cypress gardens, children's museum. What is your interest? Great seafood, bbq, and soul food. You'll like it!

hmm, i see you are coming in march. (sorry=- it's early!) Late March is usually good for azaleas and spring flowers.....
