Ringling I saw your comment on Fargo! I know you are a local at heart! Easy now, the movie was filmed in Brainerd MN.

As for activities, myself 26 yo male. I must say the female population in the Minn area are very good!

The Quest, First Ave, and Roy Wilkins are great venues for music, usally bring in about 75-100 good acts a year, worth checking out. If you are a outdoorsmen, MN has ALOT to offer. Ski in Lutsen (i was just there this weekend and the conditions were crappy, but normally good) Fishing in one of the 10,000 lakes, camping/hiking/backpacking are all good options when it is warm enough. And if you are "man" enough, you can try your hand at Ice Fishing!

I also must add the Minn/ST.Paul parrothead club is happenin' they are worth checking out.

If you need more ideas drop me a line

try Psycho Suzi's motor lounge in Nordeast during the summers ... great outdoor patio with very good food (especially the pizzas and beer battered cheese curds) and many potent boat drinks

there is a ton to do in the cities - especially when the weather gets nicer ... downtown mpls is a blast, many good sporting events, concerts, plays and outdoor activities to be had

If any ya folks ever make it to Red Wing, let me know. That be me hometown. Other than the Island (Gambling) there is a fine Jamican themed restaurant and another bar that play Buffett. You betcha.

Make the trek to Alpine every year, so maybe I'll see y'all there.

i will say if Buffett does make it back to minnesota, he needs to play at the X and boycott target center. target center is the worst possible place to watch a concert. horrible acoustics and seating is horrible.
