Where did you meet your wife?
How did you propose?
Did you play any Buffett tunes at the reception?

I met her at Illinois State while we worked at a bar called Rhino's. I was the bouncer and she bartended....eventually we ended up dating and here we are.
I proposed to her in the Japanese Water Gardens at the Chicago Botanical Gardens.
There were plenty of Buffett tunes, and several references in a few of the speeches. When we were introduced at the reception, Bob Marley's Could You be Loved played.

Have you ever been to Joe's on Weed St? As a Cubs fan currently living in Oklahoma who gets to Chi-town 3 or 4 times a summer, I got introduced to Joes a couple of summers back. Best freaking sports bar I have EVER been to, (and that's saying something, as I've frequented a few.)

Sorry I didn't get to meet you for the Wrigley Shows. We had floor seats for both shows. Definately the highlight of my year.

Is the move to Minnesota permanent? I've got a brother who lives in Elk River MN, which is about 45 minutes outside the city. I love Minneapolis, but you couldn't pay me enough to put up with one of their winters.

Good luck with the move! I always enjoy your posts here on BN.

We fell in love in only a few months and she left for Florida to do her internship at Kennedy Space Center and we did a long distance thing for about 4 months...I visited and we talked every day...we became best friends.
Anyway, what it really all comes down to is that she puts up with all the stupid stuff I do....that's why I married her!

I'll take some good photos and if I can get internet access, will try to put some up while I'm there....scratch that, I'll be on the beach.

Joe's is a cool place...I've stolen artifacts from the wall there.
Too bad I missed ya....did you see Tikibar there? I was a few rows in front of her until she moved up front.

The Minnesota thing is temporary, for about 2 years and I have, get this, 3 months off in the winter...I can't wait to get started.

I think I saw Tikibar at one point during the weekend, but I don't think I got to meet her. Truthfully, the entire weekend is a bit of a blur, but I do remember being very happy the entire time.

Wow, 3 months off, I don't know what I'd do with myself. Probably go to Scottsdale and spend every day with the Cubs during Spring Training.

You foresee any more trades, or do you think Hendry's done? I don't see what the big incentive is to trade Walker. Second basemen who hit .300 don't grow on trees.

Have you ever been on a tallship?
Have you ever been on a jet ski?
Have you ever been in a hot air balloon?
Have you ever sky dived?
Have you ever bungee jumped?
If no to any of the above, and you didn't already elaborate, do you want to do any of them?

When is the last time you had:
Junior Mints?
Juicyfruit?
Margaritaville Shrimp?
Margaritaville Tequila and / or margaritas?

How many Cheeseburger in Paradise's have you been to? Where?
How many Margaritavilles have you been to? Where?

Have you ever been on Margaritaville.com, or in the Coconut Telegraph?

Where did you disappear to... have you been captured by pirates? :pirate:

What's most piratesque about you?

Is your wife a wench?  (careful how you answer!)

Do you have a list of things to do before you're 40?

If so, can you share any... if not, want to throw any ideas out there?

Have you ever been on a tallship?
Everytime they come into Chicago, I go aboard the tallships, but nothing other than that...I want to go on one of those Windjammer Barefoot cruises, but the wife can't handle smaller boats like that...I told her I'd just have to find someone else to go with!

Have you ever been on a jet ski?
Jet ski...a few times, but not for awhile.

Have you ever been in a hot air balloon?
Nope, wouldn't mind if I did, though.

Have you ever sky dived?
Again, always wanted to, but it just hasn't happened yet!

Have you ever bungee jumped?
No...I used to want to, but I'd rather base jump.

If no to any of the above, and you didn't already elaborate, do you want to do any of them?

Alright Tikibar....you're throwing 'em all at me, aren't ya?
It's in the mid-50's in January....I had to hit some trails on my mountain bike...it's a little muddier out there than I was hoping for!

Not too long ago...I picked some up at Dominicks in the fall.

Juicyfruit?
I couldn't tell you....I'm a Big Red fan, but the song was one of my first favorites.

Margaritaville Shrimp?
Margaritaville Tequila and / or margaritas?
I haven't had the shrimp since last Cinco de Mayo...
Was that bottle I snuck into Coastal Confessions Margaritaville?
and Tequila? No mas, No mas.

How many Cheeseburger in Paradise's have you been to? Where?
only 2: Algonquin, Downers Grove.

How many Margaritavilles have you been to? Where?
3: KW, Orlando, Vegas

Have you ever been on Margaritaville.com, or in the Coconut Telegraph?
Neither

Where did you disappear to... have you been captured by pirates? :pirate:

What's most piratesque about you?
When I'm on the water I like to board other people's boats and steal anything valuable they have onboard. Sometimes I'll throw them overboard and take the whole boat, too.
Is that piratesque?

Is your wife a wench?  (careful how you answer!)
It depends on what week it is. :pirate:

Do you have a list of things to do before you're 40?
I'd like to go south of the eqautor....the Andes, New Zealand, South Africa. Also Tokyo, Switzerland....
In the words of Bradley Nowell, "I just want to sail around the world, man, just 'cause it's f'n round."
I always wanted to get my pilot's license, but health issues put that goal in the dust.
That's a short list...there are financial goals, family goals (two kids) and many others that I have.
Own a 30 foot sailboat by the time I'm 30, too.

Have you ever been told you look like someone famous & who?
I've been told I look like Henry Rollins, who I had to look up at the time.

I really crack up (laugh hysterically) when…
I fart in the bathtub.

What is your favorite “newspaper-comic” cartoon?
The FarSide was always great.

What is your favorite television cartoon?
The Simpsons, and I always dig Family Guy and American Dad.

What goofy or funny thing does anyone in your family do to make you laugh?
With all of the political correctness that's been happening since the 90's, I can't help but laugh a little when my folks say something completely innocently, not realizing that some morons out there might be offended.
The same thing said now compared to 10 years ago can be considered racist, and we've been forced to adapt, at least a little bit, to the whole political correctness thing.

GulfBreeze has an extra one laying around. It's 29', but heck, put a swim platform on the back and call it 30'.

Have you ever been arrested? If so, for what?
I think I covered that earlier and don't want to repeat it!

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?
Many times, but it's been awhile....I'm due for another dip soon!

Have you ever broken one date to go on another date with someone else?
No, but I've gotten a phone number when I was on a date with someone else.

Describe your mother in one word…

Strong.

What is your most prized possession?
I haven't attached myself to anything yet.

Who is the one person who has most influenced you
and how?
My dad is an inspiration...he's actually my stepdad and he took care of my sister and I since we were 4 and 5 years old. The way he's lived his life and taken care of himself has influenced me. Music, sports, etc... are all things that I've taken from him.
Also, Jimmy Buffett is a big influence- his music and books have played a role in my adventerous spirit. His words and knowing what he's done influences what I read, where I go, and my general attitude throughout life.

What will your retirement be like?
Half of the time in the mountains, half in the Carribean...at my own place.
I want to travel and I'd love to sail along the Atlantic coast of North and South America.
I'm off to buy some lotto tickets now!

What are you most proud about yourself?
That I've been a positive influence in different people's lives.

My tombstone will say . . .
Supreme with Extra Cheese.

Close enough! If things go as planned, I'll be ready to buy a used one the summer after I turn 30, which gives me 2 and a half years, roughly.
