You could tell by the way the Broncos played against the Patriots that they were mere pretenders. I'm no Steelers fan, but I was glad to see Denver get their butts kicked - on their own turf, too!

After being on the wrong end of so many AFC Championship games in the recent past.......... this feels fantastic !!!! WAY TO GO STEELERS............... but we still have one more game to win.

No, they were not pretenders. And some die hard Bronco fans who didn't talk smack before the game would appreciate folks not rubbing our noses in it, thank you.Demerara wrote:You could tell by the way the Broncos played against the Patriots that they were mere pretenders. Congrats to the Steelers and their fans. They did play a much better game.
I still love my Broncos. I'm sorry you had such a crappy game.

And to think Ben Roethlisberger entered the draft after his junior year at Miami... he's technically the age/experience level of a rookie. Amazing!
I'm so freaking happy for the Bus, I can't stand it... the Steelers have to go into Detroit and win that game for him!
And I love that an Indiana Hoosier (from a miserable college playing experience) gets to go to the SB playing an entirely different position than he play in college that earned him multiple IU and NCAA records. GO ANTWAAN!!!

The Super Bowl odds are out. Pitt is favored by 4 points (Over/Under 47) . Seattle finished the season as the top team in the whole NFL and they are underdogs to the AFC #6 seed.
Goes to show just how tough the AFC really was. They had two teams (KC and SD) who missed the playoffs that could have beaten almost any of the NFC playoff teams.
Steelers kicked ass today, Denver never got a chance to breath. All those years of Pitt hosting the AFC championship and losing, it took winning 3 games on the road to make the Super Bowl.
How important is home field? The only teams to win a playoff game at home this season are Sea, Den and New England
If anyone is interested in doing Super Bowl squares let me know. I can set something up online, say a buck a square?

I really thought Steelers would have a letdown after the huge win over Indy.
Hats off to Cowher for prepping his guys exceptionally well... they really took it to the Donks.
Now they can ride Ben and The Bus all the way to Motown
