Thanks for the help guys! I practiced for a while tonight, paying for it now. It hurts to type with my left hand. My fingertips are extremely sore, but that's good. Maybe I can build up some calluses quickly. Finz!

That means that you are actually practicing enough. It's a good sign. If you practice a few different times everyday, regardless of the soreness, you'll have calluses in about a week. You just got to get the fingertips used to their new job. :D If the pain becomes too much, but you really want to strum those chords, poor some super glue in a disposable tray, and lightly dip the pads of your fingertips in it. It will harden and you can play without the strings digging into your fingers.

I picked up a dvd off of ebay a few weeks ago that is great!
it is remote driven, rewind-play again pause & practice , etc &
re- learning to play the guitar (for me it is not like riding a bike) is one of my goals once I get a place of my own.
I still have my guitar from high school :lol:
