That means that you are actually practicing enough. It's a good sign. If you practice a few different times everyday, regardless of the soreness, you'll have calluses in about a week. If the pain becomes too much, but you really want to strum those chords, poor some super glue in a disposable tray, and lightly dip the pads of your fingertips in it.
