Where O' Where Has My Wallpaper Gone?
Actually, it's not really mine in this case, but this has happened to me in the past. Say you have a kick ass picture as your desktop wallpaper that you found on the Internet and some dope comes along and changes it on you. Where on the PC is that image stored? Is there a specific file for wallpapers?

Unless you actually saved the file to your hard drive, you've probably lost it.
If you find an image on the internet and simply right click->Set as Background, your computer saves it to your Temp directory, which is kinda like a revolving door. Once the file is not in use anymore, if other files come along, the oldest files get pushed out...
You might be able to find it by scouring your Temp directory or Temporary Internet Files directory, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Yeah, that's the weird thing. I had already tried doing that. Can't find the image anywhere, but the dates in the temp folder go back to early Decemeber. The desktop pic was downloaded only about 2 weeks ago.SharkOnLand wrote:You might be able to find it by scouring your Temp directory or Temporary Internet Files directory, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

If it was only two weeks ago, you might be able to go back in your History and find it again. Just hit Ctrl-H (I'm assuming you're using internet explorer) and see if your history goes back that far.
Or you can try finding it again. http://images.google.com is great at finding stuff like that....
