He's certainly been to the UK, but the last I remember hearing of him play there was for the Monserraat fundraiser (following the volcanic eruption several years back).

Congrats on discovering Jimmy and welcome to BuffettNews!

Hmmmmm......

Wierdly timely thread.....

I am sitting at LAX in the Virgin/Air Canada Lounge for Virgin's flight 8 to London Heathrow listening to my Live at Fenway Park CD, armed with the Fenway DVD to play on board. Leaving at 5:15 PST, seat 3K...Upper Class sleeper seat baby! Very shagadelic.

I would LOVE to hear Jimmy playing on the other side of the pond! I went into the Virgin Picadilly megastore to see of Jimmy's CD's were their a couple of year ago....no luck. I doubt there are many parrotheads!

It would be "brilliant" to hear Jimmy in the UK....do they know ow to tailgate?

If he plays out your way....I will help start it. Went to the Maui show in 2004, showed up three hours early to tailgate...was the only car. Had fun anyway!

If you read the liner notes to "You had to be there", Jimmy writes "..."or just yesterday in London, when they gave all our suites to Gladys Knight and the Pips."

At Great Woods he always says that he was in Boston when he first heard Come Monday on the radio. He is a master of adding semi-true local flavor.

I thought we had all been forgotten, sadly we were not able to renew our charter due to the lack of members willing to renew their memberships, maybe one day we can get enough together again to bounce back.
But i'm always about, lurking.

I remember Jimmy being over here in 1997 for music for montsarrat at the royal albert hall in London, though i found out to late to go.

Dude, tailgating is weird there. I was there this summer for the Henley Royal Regatta, which draws albeit a slightly different crowd than a JB show, but they were tailgating with china, tableclothes, coats & ties, fine silverware, hors d'ouerves (sp?). It's crazy. However, I don't know if that will cut it for JB's PH cam.
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"
