I would rather have Jimmy shove a sharp (or not so sharp) stick in my eye than play BEG again.

He will never do a Jay Ferguson song, who he had a public feud with in the 70's for being a "copy-cat act"

Side, I love ya Kitty Boy, but I cannot think of a song that blows more than that lame sh!t Kokomo, OMG that sux

Personally, I have always enjoyed Brown Eyed Girl at shows (watch it BEG  )

I think he would do a good job with The Dirt Bands American Dream or Loggins and Messina's Vahevala

I like the Three little birds suggestion, Always thought it would be a good fit. I also like Neil Youngs "Hurricane".

Considering the recent sighting of Buffett and Roger Waters in St. Barth's a merging of Dark Side of the Moon and Far Side of the World could make for an interesting project.

this comes up often, and everyone usually has a good alternative to suggest. The end result is I think I'd rather hear anything than BEG this year, and in the past he's done a good job with the covers.
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

Obviously, I would prefer one of his own, but if it has to be a cover:

Sweet Baby James - I've always thought that this song sparked Cowboy in the Jungle, which may have lead to all of the Tully Mars related songs.

Easy Skankin by Bob Marley

Sailing Shoes by ??? (I have a Sam Bush album and he does a great job with it.)

Little Feat. Sam also does a great cover of another song Buffett has recorded, Willis Alan Ramsay's "The Ballad of Spider John".

CIJ is my favorite song in the history of music...but how does it relate to all the tully mars stories?? (not being smart-alecky, just curious)

Christian Island - Gordon Lightfoot
Summer Side of Life - Gordon Lightfoot
Sundown - Gordon Lightfoot
Shambala - Three Dog Night
