Kobe scores 81
Love Kobe or hate Kobe the ability to score 81 points in a single game is one of the most incredibble accomplishments I've ever seen on a basketball court.
Pretty incredibble.

Pretty incredibble.

Kobe had my respect when he came in the league, but his skill has gotten to his own head. That I can't respect.
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

In a related story, the Raptors lost 97-92 to the SCSFVI last Tuesday....

Kobe has no desire to make his team better, he just cares about himself... heck, he's the reason they got rid of Shaq and Phil (the first time). He's nowhere near the greatness of players like Magic or Bird or MJ. He may have superior one-on-one skills, but his childlike me-first tendencies need some work.

And yet, a lot of people revere Wilt Chamberlain for exactly that attitude...SharkOnLand wrote:Kobe has no desire to make his team better, he just cares about himself... heck, he's the reason they got rid of Shaq and Phil (the first time). *Why did he score 100 points in a game? Because he wanted to prove he could.
*Why did he average 50 points for a season? He said he needed a challange.
*In 1967 he said, my goal this year is to lead the league in ASSISTS....so he stopped shooting, and passed a lot.
The list goes on and on and on.
This is why Bill Russell won all the championships, yet is considered second best to Wilt in many minds.

Don't forget, in his autobiography Wilt claimed he slept with 20,000 women. He's my hero.CaptainP wrote:And yet, a lot of people revere Wilt Chamberlain for exactly that attitude...SharkOnLand wrote:Kobe has no desire to make his team better, he just cares about himself... heck, he's the reason they got rid of Shaq and Phil (the first time). He made a lot of ludicrous claims in that book. But that one was the best.LIPH wrote:Don't forget, in his autobiography Wilt claimed he slept with 20,000 women. He's still sittin' pretty even if he exaggerated by 19,000 women.CaptainP wrote:He made a lot of ludicrous claims in that book. I'm not a big fan of Wilt either.... In my mind the greatest players are those who make their teams better, not those who think the team should be thankful that they're there. I think LeBron will be the next 'great' player in that regard. He seems unselfish, and he passes a lot like Magic did.CaptainP wrote:And yet, a lot of people revere Wilt Chamberlain for exactly that attitude...SharkOnLand wrote:Kobe has no desire to make his team better, he just cares about himself... heck, he's the reason they got rid of Shaq and Phil (the first time).
