which one was that?Jahfin wrote:I saw another reference to Buffett on The Travel Channel the other night during a feature on houseboats. Seems one of the families being profiled stopped at the burger joint supposedly responsible for inspiring Buffett to write "Cheeseburger In Paradise". They had a framed (and signed) photo of Bubba on the wall.
I have no idea but I'm guessing it's the one he mentions in The Parrothead Handbook that comes with the box set.RinglingRingling wrote:which one was that?Jahfin wrote:I saw another reference to Buffett on The Travel Channel the other night during a feature on houseboats. not mentioned by name, but in passing. And I have three of the 10 on the "Best Cheeseburger Sites" list down. Thinking that might make for a project...Jahfin wrote:I have no idea but I'm guessing it's the one he mentions in The Parrothead Handbook that comes with the box set.RinglingRingling wrote:which one was that?Jahfin wrote:I saw another reference to Buffett on The Travel Channel the other night during a feature on houseboats. According to the Handbook the unnamed restaurant is in Roadtown on the island of Tortola. I wish I'd known that when our cruise ship stopped there in 2001!Jahfin wrote:I have no idea but I'm guessing it's the one he mentions in The Parrothead Handbook that comes with the box set.RinglingRingling wrote:which one was that?Jahfin wrote:I saw another reference to Buffett on The Travel Channel the other night during a feature on houseboats. Somebody here on BN sent me a copy of Diamond DAve singing Tin Cup Chalice. it's actually not bad...pgr17 wrote:this probably isn't even worth the bandwith to type, but this morning on the lame David Lee Roth show, he was talking about something dealing with food and he mentioned how he wanted to eat "oysters and beer every day of the year like that Jimmy Buffett song says." thought it was pretty cool to hear a reference to a sort-of obscure Buffett song.

Not really, especially considering that other Van Halen singer has been referred to as the "Jimmy Buffett of rock n' roll".tully mars wrote:How bazzareJames William wrote:David Lee played Tin Cup live on a morning radio show...long before he had his own. He mentioned he was a big fan of Bubba's and loved that song.

I thought the name of the restaurant was "Le Select" in St. Barts.SuperTrooper wrote:According to the Handbook the unnamed restaurant is in Roadtown on the island of Tortola. I had heard of it before.Jahfin wrote:I saw another reference to Buffett on The Travel Channel the other night during a feature on houseboats. It's not actually on Tortola, but just off of it. It's called Marina Cay... here's a view of it from our plane as we left Tortola last October.SuperTrooper wrote:According to the Handbook the unnamed restaurant is in Roadtown on the island of Tortola.
