One Step Further...Emergency Buffett CD

Post by flipflops »

Yet another spin off from two previous threads about favorite or top 5 Buffett songs. About a year ago I started a topic about MY emergency buffett cd and what would be on it. I got a lot of, "They're all on my iPod". Now that I have an mp3 player of my own, they are all on mine as well. However, it won't hook up to my car and the mp3 player on my phone won't hold them all. With that being said, I came up with the perfect cd that takes me away everytime and is also quite popular amongst my friends. Here is the track list if you'd like to make your own. If you already have one, let's hear whats on it!

01. They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More
02. Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season
03. Tin Cup Chalice
04. The Weather Is Here, I Wish You Were Beautiful
05. Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes
06. Ballad of Spider John
07. Migration
08. One Particular Harbor
09. A Pirate Looks At Forty
10. Manana
11. Coast of Marseilles
12. Distantly In Love
13. The Pascagoula Run
14. Come Monday
15. He Went To Paris
16. Island
17. Livingston Saturday Night
18. Treat Her Like A Lady
19. Lovely Cruise
20. Southern Cross

I may begin work on a second, there are a few I couldn't fit anymore on the cd. Thanks for looking!

I had the same problem, and found the following item. It plugs into your vehicle's power outlet and transmits music from your MP3 player to your car radio. The sound quality isn't as clear as a CD, but for $15 and the ability to have all of your music at your fingertips, it's well worth it.

Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

I had one of those things and I did not like it.
I like quality sound and the static bothered me. Even the cassette adapter is not good enough for me.
My theory is that if you're gonna pay all that money you might as well have good sound. Not to mention having to use the buttons while driving is a pain and can be unsafe.
My next purchase will be one of the new mp3 capable car stereo cd players.
My brother just got one for around $120 at Walmart and can fit around 400 songs on one cd. It also has an input if you wanna use an mp3 player.
I'm guessing that the sound will be better with an input like that.

i basically keep "Boats, Beaches, Bars & Ballads" in my car and with a few exceptions I am pretty much covered. The exceptions are to have a copy of LTC and Fruitcakes, plus maybe one or two others. Yes, I know that's more than one but oh well.

My brother created the ultimate Jimmy Buffett Emergency cd. He took a dvd disc and burned every one of my Jimmy Buffett cds (which is all of them) onto one disc. It's a good idea, the only drawback being that it only plays on the computer or through a dvd-player.

George Strait in June, Kenny Chesney in July, and Jimmy Buffett in August... Looks like a Great Summer!!!

Ah, in case I didn't make it clear, that was a joke.

I visit many other boards where the bands they are devoted to are constantly mispelled; Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd being among the most common.

I gotta ask, "If you aren't the person starting the thread, how does someone say 'delete this whole thread'?" Seems a bit presumptious to me.

For some of you folks that have so often accused me of being "humorless" that was meant totally in jest.
