My suggestion is based on a long life of second guessing and of having things run over me once or twice. Take things one at a time, don't let the things that you have no control over take control of you and always make ethical choices. Sometimes we go through bad times but ultimately we get to better ones.
You know you're pretty lucky, how many people do you know that can get advice from 20+ friends in a few hours!
