Wedding Song?

Post by Detroit Finz »

Anybody have any ideas for a good Jimmy FIRST DANCE song?
Salt air it ain't thin,
It can stick right to your skin,
And make you feel fine.
It makes you feel fine.

As much as I love Jimmy, there is no song that would be appropriate for that.

Even though it's not your traditional slow dance 1st song, I think Spirit of the Great Heart would be a great way to start your marriage off. Being a PH sometimes means looking at life a little differently. I've been to way too many weddings where the first song was "Unforgettable" or another standard, traditional love song...Nothing wrong with that. However, there's also nothing wrong with being kind of different.

Congratulations! Have a blast. The best weddings are those where it's immediately obvious that the bride and groom are having a wonderful time!
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.

Some friends of ours did Tin Cup Chalice, because they're big Jimmy fans and it's their favorite song of his. They also got engaged in Key West, so that made it all the more appropriate.

My wife and I made "Come Monday" our first dance song at the wedding.

Good luck, and congratulations!

I am sure that can easily be found out, especially if the Co. Health Dept. has to notify her of her "donor status". :D

How about Stars Fell on Alabama? Of course, you would probably have to live in Alabama. Survive? SLow Boat To China? Pre-You? Just some thoughts.

Coast of Carolina worked for us (no, we're not from the Carolinas).

Survive would work too, although some don't care for the song.

Happily Ever After (Every now and then) might be a good choice as well.

I guess we didn't really have a wedding dance, but if we had, it would have been Come Monday.

I like Coast of Carolina lots too and Happily Ever After, too.

I'm also a Survive liker. :D
