how many years did he live that day over?
not sure. how long does it take you to learn everyone in town's name, their orientation/preference, and resistance to the overwhelming urge to punch Stephen Tobolowsky right in the mouth?
what gets me is the ice sculpting, piano playing, not to mention all the ways he killed himself/

Georgia's Groundhog Predicts Early Spring

POSTED: 9:17 am EST February 2, 2006

LILBURN, Ga. -- Georgia's groundhog -- Gen. Beauregard Lee -- has predicted an early spring.

After a few minutes of delay, Beau emerged from his home at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Lilburn and failed to see his shadow.

For the second year in a row, Beau's prediction differed from that of his northern rival. Punxsutawney Phil -- the world's most famous furry forecaster -- saw his shadow on Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pa. That suggests another six weeks of wintry weather.

The skies in Lilburn are overcast today.

No official records of Beau's forecasts have been kept. But he made a major wrong prediction when he called for an early spring in 1993, and the worst blizzard in decades blasted the South.
