Spanish 'Margaritaville?'

Post by jvrabel »

Hey everyone - anyone catch the version of 'Margaritavile' with the Spanish lyrics on Sirius? Anyone know where this is from, and/or if it's available on CD or for download?

I think it had something to do with the introduction of the Margaritaville Tequila line a few years ago.

It's from the "Pitcher Perfect" cd that came with Margaritaville tequila, the other track on it was of course, "Tequila". Haven't seen it in a long time, but just this week I picked up a bottle of M'ville tequila that had it included. It wasn't the "Pitcher Perfect" cd, but a mini cd with the two songs, recipes, etc.

Let me also add that the two audio files on the mini cd are embedded into a flash movie. To extract them as mp3s, use a free program called Flash Digger Lite. It'll pull out the audio tracks as mp3 files.

I've only heard a version where the chorus is in Spanish. It's a good translation from the English. Here it is:

Que fiesta otra vez en Margaritaville
Buscando para el perdido salero, sal, sal, sal
El gente dice que es mujer culpable
Creo que, es mi maldito culpa
"Reading departure signs in some big airport reminds me of the places I've been"

Thanks,
It's nice to see it written out.
Now maybe I can memorize it.
