developing old rolls of film.

So I have soooo many rolls to develop, some are as old as 7 years. Have any of you found yourself hanging on to rolls for way too long? How do they turn out? The Kodak rolls say develop within 2 years. Am I screwed?

I have made a promise to myself to start developing a few at a time. I used to keep such good photo albums, but there hasnt been any pictures added since 97. I guess the best part of waiting that long is that I dont even know what I'm gonna find. I'm hoping I'll say, "damn I took some good pictures".

I've found rolls over 10 yrs old and had them developed....

Some were good, some were grainy...

Always interesting to see what is going to come out...

Some, I wish I had never found...some found their way in to frames...and were great.....

i've done this. Just take them to the cheapest place, pref one that will not charge you for bad prints. Alot of mine turn out, some of them are green and other odd colors.

i wouldn't wait too long. i heard from professionals that the availability of buying film and getting it developed is coming to an end...quicker than the industry anticipated.

this was disheartening to hear. i like digital, but i'm more of a fan of film.
i love my nikon6006 camera.

It's like a lottery. You have no idea what you're going to end up with.

Go for it dude! I recently developed a roll of black and white film that I had forgotten about that was from a project in high school (I graduated almost 12 years ago). :o

It was awesome to relive those moments, even though the quality wasn't perfect. You'll get a good laugh, if anything.

Somethin' like that!! It was weird 'cause one of the pictures was a b&w of my first tattoo; a purple rose on my hip that says 'wild thing'. The project was supposed to be an abstract self portrait for my humanities class. I remember how p*** I was when I couldn't find the roll of film, and had to change how I did my project!! I actually got a really good grade on what I finally did, which was a painting of a brick wall with a bunch of my favorite quotes seemingly spray-painted on.

Ohhhh to be in high school!
