mine Tampa/New Orleans . .$214 . .
oh, and since the Nevilles won't be the closing act . . it only makes sense it will be Jimmy . . on Sunday . . to blow it all out . . .
. .should be amazing . . like someone said re: his last appearance . .
Easily 70,000 peeps . . .really does get to be shoulder-to-shoulder. . .
that's the only part I dread. . .last time we opted for the far side of the side stage . . . no way to " see " him . . but at least I could breathe. . ! !
I actually hope that is what happens . .and Jimmy plays on Sat. . .photogal wrote:Dont you think Fats Domino will close on Sunday? That makes more sense to me. They could play at the same time then that would s*** cause I want to see Fats and Jimmy. Rats!

nice hotel! i would switch but they have gone up since you booked. there up to 199.00 with a 3 night min.thekidsalami wrote:I've got my hotel booked for Friday-Monday. Haven't booked a flight yet cause we're still not 100% sure that any of this is in our budget.
Check out...
http://www.thepelhamhotel.com/ ....got it for $169/night and it's practically in the quarter.
I'm predicting Paul Simon headlines Friday, Jimmy Saturday, and Fats on Sunday is a given.
Then, what do you think, Jimmy and some of the reefers at Margaritaville Cafe on Saturday night just like in 2002?
This is where it helps to have friends in NO willing to loan you 18 sq. ft. of floor.photogal wrote:ok you guys, this web site has Sonny Landreth playing at Margaritaville on Friday night. So if Jimmy is going to show up there that might be a good night. I want to see Sonny any way seeing as he is playing the first weekend this works out great. Check out this site. He puts up the grids for all the clubs in NO during the Fest. Its www.jazzfestgrids.com it has some good info on the jazz fest.
That's too bad. It looks like most hotels have gone up in price since the beginning of the week. Must be in expectation of all the Slick Rick fans rollin' into town.A1A BOUND wrote:nice hotel! i would switch but they have gone up since you booked. there up to 199.00 with a 3 night min.thekidsalami wrote:I've got my hotel booked for Friday-Monday.
