Steve Miller hitting the road again this summer

Looks like Steve Miller is going to be hitting the road again for the 2nd consecutive summer with an extensive tour. Miller had taken the past 5 summers off from a full tour schedule but returned to many old stomping grounds last summer. Miller, along with Jimmy and the Allman Brothers was always one of the "locks" for a summer show at Great Woods up until his hiatus 5 years ago. It was good to have him back there last summer. His shows at Great Woods have gained that reputation for having a great parking lot atmosphere.
Its looks like he's planning the same for this summer...

Am I the only one that clicked on the link in the article and found out that they have the wrong link to his website???
And Wayne, I'm surprised he's not playing his old stomping grounds - Texas, particularily Dallas or Ft Worth.

I saw him back in 98 or 99 at Great Woods and to tell you the truth he sucked. Always loved his music back in the 70's and early 80's but that show was terrible. He'd turned FLY LIKE AN EAGLE into a Rap song and It sounded on most songs like he was Lip Syncing. George Thorogood was on the bill with him and luckly he rocked.
I don't know anyone who saw him last year so I don't know if he's back to his rockin ways but with the cost of tickets now-a-days I don't know if I would take a chance on another one of his shows.

I saw him in '02 here in Portland at the annual Waterfront Blues Festival. He absolutley kicked ass performing with several other blues legends. Then saw him a year later for a "regular show" at the infamous Clark County Amphitheater. It seemed to be "just another stop along the tour" with no real changes to his classic songs. It was kind of a let down.
Especially when the admission for the blues show was $10.00 and a can of food while the second one cost me $65.00+
