Yes. The Indians (the 4th longest curse) will win it all this year!Wino you know wrote:HOWEVER, (CUB FANS)
don't discount the fact that the 3rd longest curse was broken in 2004, and the second longest curse was broken in 2005. All signs point to a trend. Am I right?![]()

The Indians have at least BEEN to the World Series three times in my lifetime. They still have the best winning PER CENTAGE of any modern M.L. baseball team (111-43 in 1954), not the 1998 Yankees or the 2001 Mariners, as many people believe.
The Yankees & Mariners did win more games those years, but that's because they PLAYED more games. The Indians winning per centage in 1954 was higher.

That was the World Series where Willie Mays made that great over the shoulder catch on the shot Vic Wertz hit. Willie Mays's glove, where triples go to die.CaptainP wrote:Then they got SWEPT from the WS!!!!Wino you know wrote: The Indians have at least BEEN to the World Series three times in my lifetime. That 1998 Yankees was probably one of the best teams ever. The 1954 Indians and the 2001 Mariners weren't even close.
Yes I am a Sox fan but I have said for a long time that '98 team was great.CaptainP wrote:Aren't you a Sox fan? Isn't that blasphemy?BottleofRum wrote:Wino you know wrote:CaptainP wrote:Yes. The Indians (the 4th longest curse) will win it all this year!![]()
