HOWEVER, (CUB FANS)
don't discount the fact that the 3rd longest curse was broken in 2004, and the second longest curse was broken in 2005. All signs point to a trend. Am I right?
And, appropriately, one was red, one was white, and the next one should be blue.
and maybe cows will give beer someday too

Yes. The Indians (the 4th longest curse) will win it all this year!

The Indians have at least BEEN to the World Series three times in my lifetime. They still have the best winning PER CENTAGE of any modern M.L. baseball team (111-43 in 1954), not the 1998 Yankees or the 2001 Mariners, as many people believe.
The Yankees & Mariners did win more games those years, but that's because they PLAYED more games. The Indians winning per centage in 1954 was higher.

NOW-
About that trend..................................................................

It may simple be about Karma. Maybe too many people are afraid if the Cubs win the World Series, it could be the beginning of the Apocalypse. You wouldn’t want to be responsible for the Earth to leave its axis and be sucked into the Sun would you? :o :o

My grandparents were from Illinois. Grandpa was a HUGE Bears fan and sad to say passed the year before Da Bears won it all in big time fashion.

Sorry about your grandfather, T.R.
Did he celebrate when the Bears won Super Bowl 20 in 1986?

He was watching from the big screen with super HD in the sky in 86.

BTW, I'll take the risk with the Cubs. That would be spectacular!! Then you start to go down the list of all the Cubs that didn't win the big one.

Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Ferguson Jenkins, and Ryne Sandberg. And that's just in OUR lifetime.

Gracie got a ring with AZ, but would have sweeter with the Cubs. My nephew is named Ryne. Baseball to the bone!

That was the World Series where Willie Mays made that great over the shoulder catch on the shot Vic Wertz hit. Willie Mays's glove, where triples go to die.

That 1998 Yankees was probably one of the best teams ever. The 1954 Indians and the 2001 Mariners weren't even close.

Yes I am a Sox fan but I have said for a long time that '98 team was great.
And for the record the team to beat the Yankees the most that season? The Red Sox, they went 9-10 vs. NY :D
