How's this for selling out an old teammate?

Mark Grace, to Sporting News Radio:

"There were a lot of guys doing (steroids). I saw it with my own eyes. It was pitchers, it was catchers, it was outfielders, it was infielders. There was a lot of it going around. I had it offered to me many times. SAMMY SOSA is just one of the guys of many that are red-flag guys."

Sounds like Grace is saying he witnessed (and was maybe offered steroids by) Sammy Sosa.

During the Senate hearings we found out Sammy does not speak very good English, so I'm sure he does not understand what Gracie said. :P

They were good, certainly-but DAMN, those 1954 Indians were just plain SCARY!
They were nothing like the 1927 Murderer's Row Yankee team, but with the dynamite pitching of Early Wynn, Mike Garcia, Bob Lemon, Bob Feller (All hall of famers) and Art Houteman-VERY few teams, if any, ever put together a starting rotation of that caliber.
And with the bats of Bobby Avila, Al Rosen, Larry Doby, et. al., it's a wonder how they LOST those 43 games they did, never mind being swept in the world series.
The thing that stands out most (to me) about that year was the Yankees won 103 games and finished EIGHT GAMES OUT OF FIRST PLACE.
Also-Dale Mitchell was on that team. All trivia buffs should know HIS "claim to fame." :D

Didn't he make the last out in Don Larsen's perfect game in the World Series?

The outside of the Mets new stadium is supposed to look like Ebbets Field. Fred Wilpon, the owner, grew up in Brooklyn so I guess he was a Dodgers' fan. I read somewhere that he was a high school teammate of Sandy Koufax.

So, what are the thoughts around this new steroid investigation committee that Selig's established? Will they have any teeth? Will they be able to do something about Bonds before he's allowed to pass Babe Ruth?

George Mitchell is in his 70's. Does he have any teeth left?

Seriously though, I hope the committee has teeth. They have to do something to get the game back on an even playing field. And I'm just just talking about Bonds, he's just the most visible of the juicers.

George is in the owners pocket. He is the same one who did the "independent" investigation into the finances of MLB and issued a strict owners party line report. He will report what ever he is told

this investigation will change nothing. Even if found guilty they won't suspend the players and the public has already found Bonds guilty... nothing will change.

Is it me or does the new Yankee Stadium look just like the present Yankee Stadium?
