If anyone buys a lawn ticket for Jones Beach off ebay they're getting screwed bigtime. The only lawn is the picnic area alongside the parking lot but that's outside the theater.

no... you know what it is? Brokers are selling these without having them "in hand." When lawn tickets are listed PRIOR to the public sale, often they think that they can sell them shortly after the onsale due to people's 'panic buying,' and then buy them back at a later time for less.

Obviously these dumb-asses that are selling lawns dont' realize tht Jones Beach doesn't HAVE a lawn.

If you're gonna sell a product, wouldn't you want to be as knowledgeable about it as possible?

one would think that I'm in the wrong business!

I have been to Jones Beach MANY times. The place isnt very big. Stadium 1 are very good seats. Stadium two or mezz are a little high up but still very good. Actually for JB shows being up high is cool because the stage is over water and so from up high you have a great view of JB, the water/boats and stars!
If you are lower down, you can see the stage better but not much of the water and the lights will block many stars.
So, there is something great about seats far away.. and something great about seats closer to the stage. There are also video screens on the sides of the stage. Be aware THEY DO NOT SELL ALCOHOL inside the venue and they search bags on the way in. they do sell food and other non-alcoholic drinks (soda/water)
Proud Parrothead (and country fan) here in NYC.
