depending on where your staying, be sure to check out the spectrum shopping mall. there is a comedy club, along with a variety of bars and restuarants. you will most likely see many parrotheads gathered about. as for the tail gate on saturday.
just be prepared for anything and take plenty of pics. i am sure a so-cal local or 2 will come along eventually, to better clue you in.

Hello fellow Parrotheads! This is my first post but have been following the action. We will be comming down for the Saturday show. Haven't decided if we will come on Friday evening or Saturday morning. My girlfriend is a virgin and I want her to get the full Buffett experience. How do I get on the phone list etc...? Can't wait to meet everyone!

I wish the LA/OC Area had a real Margaritaville.. (there's a fake one in Newport Beach.).. because it would be the perfect place to meet n greet on Friday...

In Newport Beach, Margaritaville is a fun bar with popular local bands. Although it has no association to the singer of the famous song, it does have that same type of carefree atmosphere. It's more of a Sunday evening/night place. Be sure and step around the high-priced Harleys parked by the door. Tip on the margis: Get the Cadillac; it's only an extra buck and is far better than the house.

Hello Parrotheads!

Like other BNer's posting I am getting VERY excited. I am out in New York on business and just returned from Maui, and really looking forward to seeing Jimmy at the west coast holy grail site of Buffett shows...IRVINE BABY!!!

We will be at both shows. For anyone who wants to stop by...look for a brown/gold tour bus style coach with "Meet Me in Margaritaville" painted on the back with FINS BUS California license plates. We plan on being there at 11 am for both shows and will wait across the street until Irvine Meadows opens.

For the BNer talking about Margaritaville in Newport, alas, I drove by two weeks ago and it;s closed! ugh.

Going to see Hoot tonight as a warmup and than I think a weekend of drankin' is in order to prepare the liver for next Thursday and Saturday!!!

So anyone else besides Booze, FunBob, & ladyparrothead staying at the Comfort Inn? We really should meet up somewhere and plan to carpool to the venue....save about a $20 parking fee and make sure we don't miss each other in the zoo which will take place in the parking lot!!!

BTW....where's everyone sitting? I'm in Loge 6 Row EE for Thursday and Loge 4 Row BB for Saturday.....although I hope to end up in orchestra both days!

I'm soo freakin excited. I think I'm right near ya on Saturday. Might be a few rows back. I can't remember all my seats for these concerts. It's getting to be a bit much. Hopefully we'll see ya in the parking lot on Saturday.

I can't believe it's almost concert time already. Feels like yesterday that I was planning and plotting my west coast adventure! And it's almost here already!!! WOO HOO!!!!

I'll be staying at the Hilton in Irvine and hopefully making it over to the parking lot before noon. It's a marathon, not a sprint! I'll send out the cell list Tuesday so get me your info before then if you want to be added. I've got approx. 15ish people on there right now. I can't wait!!!
