****Update on the Las Brisas Gathering****
Had a GREAT time drinking and eating out on the deck!
Booze in the Blender got some great pics I think...will have to talk him in to posting them when they get back.
After the sun set behind the palm trees about half the people left so there was just a small group of us, BEG, Eric (booze in the blender) and Jolena, Lynn (Lady Parrothead) and her S.O. and Erik (jello cannon crew) and me.
Then who do I run into on the way to the bathroom...Peter and Jim Mayer!
Both of them were very nice, Jim came out on the deck with us to meet everyone, told us that the band really enjoyed the show on Thursday and said tonight should be even better!
So...a word to the wise (Dean!), don't leave early, you never know who may show up!!!!!
PHINS UP for tonight!! ^^^^^^^^^^

So here I sit. Three and a half hours away from that wonderful experience known as a Buffett concert.
Unfortunately, my wife has not had the opportunity to experience Jimmy in person. For this reason, she does not fully share my enthusiasm for all things Buffett (why she doesn't is something for Dr. Phil...or Dr. Ruth...she' still alive, right?). This is why she decided to forego this trip in favor of something that she would rather do. No biggie. I still have the guys, right?
Last night, everything was a go. Sure one of my buddies bailed at the last second. Sure, another was not feeling too well, but its Buffett and he is only a few hundred miles away, right?
Well, I get a call this morning about a half hour before we were to depart. The sick guy bails out, leaving only one other FAITHFUL companion. At this point, I am feelng burnt and disappointed. I am thinking that I am no longer going to make it out to Irvine.
I usually buy my tix in the lot and find a hotel at the last second, so I am not out anything, but I so wanted to make this trip.
As it stands, I will almost definitely make Shoreline, but Irvine is a pretty special place.
So....have fun all you SoCal'ers...time to move onto the Shoreline pages!! Please have one or two or ten for me!!

Just got home from tonite's concert and it was amazing .. weather was great until about 6 songs into the first set then it started raining (luckily we brought rain ponchos) - but no one really left.
The energy was incredible ... for all those whom missed it - you missed the best concert experience that I have ever been to.

Irvine lives up to it's reputation.....
Hello Parrotheads, and hello again to everyone we saw at both the shows.
My wife and I had our "Margaritaville Bus" at both shows (and proud to say we slept in the lot overnight both times).
Irvine was wild on Thursday in the lot, and INSANE Saturday. After 110+ shows, in my humble opinion, Saturday was the best Buffett tailgate in all my years.
The RV area loaded up from the front of the venue this time, and we were one of the first in. Even before we got there, the business park across from the venue was loaded with well over 200 RV's and cars.
Our area of the lot was nuts. OCPHC on one side with live entertainment, and the funniest thing I saw....six people dressed as 80's Fruitcakes hamming it up in a bizarre gay/disco theme on the RV to the left. Really a riot.
We have no idea who the three person camera crew was who were on the roof of my bus....if anyone knows what TV show, or what, please let me know.
The shows, well, Thursday was slightly better than Saturday, but only because it started raining late in the show.
Thanks for all BNer's who stopped by...you guys & ladies are great.
Steve....I have your cooler, you never stopped back after the show. PM me your address in Clovis and I will mail it.
FINS UP!

I have to concur with those above. Saturday was THE wildest tailgate I have ever been to. RV area was transformed into Mardi Gras complete with several beads being tossed ( for the usual price) from the roofs of most of the RV's. The entertainment the OCPHC hired was very good. I wish I would have written his name down....the "Habitat For Insanity" area and their Oysters being schucked were AWESOME!. Great to see Kathy, and crew again. Finally signed "Ole Blue" and of course 4-Play Palm". Several came by after seeing the BN Crossing sign. Screw the rain....lets do it again SOON!

I am sooooo tired I am about to face plant on my keyboard.
Flight was late, got home at midnight last night after enjoying a few too many 'ritas at the Fisherman in San Clemente.
I did almost miss my plane but that's another story.
Irvine was a blast....the only thing I'm bummed about is not meeting more of the BNers who were there. But we had nice folks all around us (amazing how quickly you can make friends when you give them a drinky skirt
). I could have lived without the rain but other than looking like a drowned rat it wasn't too bad.
To the gang: had waaaaay too much fun with all of you and miss you already.
So many good times and good laughs. Oh yeah, I still need to post those blackmail pics of Dean!
I'm too tired to think, I know I have more to say but it will have to wait. Just a big thank you to everyone for making it such a great weekend.
