But our family has done their job

There was a time, back in the dark ages before I was born.. that the doctor thought I was twins...

I understand my Dad didn't speak to my Mom for a week after hearing the news of that prospect

I've gotten a few responses, but I'm still seeking feedback on the survey.
You can send me a PM if there's something you're not comfortable posting in the thread...

Everyone please take some time to answer these questions honestly and add any comments or suggestions of your own.

1. How would you rate your Hoot Island party experience on a scale of 1 to 10? (1 being poor and 10 being outstanding)
2. What did you think about the location?
3. Did you have trouble finding it?
4. Do you feel like you got your money's worth?
5. Did you get enough to eat and drink?
6. Did we have enough porta potties?
7. Do you think there were too many people?
8. Do you think we should have set a price and put a limit on the number of wristbands?
9. Did you think of anything we needed that wasn't there?
10. What would you have done differently to make it better?
11. Please share any other comments or suggestions.

I found this picture which I THINK shows a picture of Four Play Palm in a box on Hoot Island by the Skeleton Pirate. :o

Image

Is this where anyone else remembers last seeing him?

I didn't include this pix in my photo parade,
(which I have now updated and put in my sig which I will drag around with me for awhile )
...These now include pix from Joe's Crab Shack, which show Four Play Palm in all his inflated Glory. :D

We must celebrate - especially if he has eloped with some other Palmetta. :pirate: :wench:

....maybe we will get a palm leaf one day...Mailboat's slow

...or a baby Coconut :o

(will post this in the Four Play Palm thread as well...)

1. How would you rate your Hoot Island party experience on a scale of 1 to 10? (1 being poor and 10 being outstanding) 8
2. What did you think about the location? great place for it!
3. Did you have trouble finding it? nope, been there before
4. Do you feel like you got your money's worth? yeah, didnt eat that much, but had my share of drinks, and the use of the potties
5. Did you get enough to eat and drink? see above
6. Did we have enough porta potties? i think one more would have done the trick....had to wait in line a few times, but not for very long
7. Do you think there were too many people? not really too many of us, but i do think there were too many who were "invading"(w/out wristbands)
8. Do you think we should have set a price and put a limit on the number of wristbands? i think the price was good, and i wouldnt limit the number of wristbands, but some how see to it that people without the wristbands were not using our stuff and eating and drinking the stuff everyone else paid to have
9. Did you think of anything we needed that wasn't there? more cover....from the rain
10. What would you have done differently to make it better? again more cover from the rain. that is the only thing that makes it an 8 instead of a 9 for me. it was really hard to get food and all with it covered up with plastic, and hard to eat while holding an umbrella. but that was only cause the rain, which i know is nothing that can be controlled by anyone, but to have more cover for a "just incase" could have helped
11. Please share any other comments or suggestions. everything was great! we had a really good time despite the rain......everyone who helped in the planning derserves a HUGE THANKS!!!!!

2. What did you think about the location? At the end of the parking lot? GREAT!
3. Did you have trouble finding it? No, only getting in on Thursday night!
4. Do you feel like you got your money's worth? Absolutely.
5. Did you get enough to eat and drink? Yes.
6. Did we have enough porta potties? I don't think you can EVER have enough porta potties at a Buffett concert.
7. Do you think there were too many people? Maybe for a VW ...
8. Do you think we should have set a price and put a limit on the number of wristbands? Perhaps from a planning stand point this would be good ... BUT, the thing that made Hoot Island come together so perfectly was (good planning, yes) but it wasn't so rigid to not allow it to evolve somewhat on it's own.
9. Did you think of anything we needed that wasn't there? I didn't miss a thing, except for a meat loaf sandwich ...
10. What would you have done differently to make it better? I like having all "the stuff" on the perimeter and the middle grassy part for people to congregate. Maybe separate the RVs and generators so the exhaust isn't so concentrated.
11. Please share any other comments or suggestions. Loved the pre-tailgate phlockings (dock party, Winnsboro, Joe's), meeting the keets, grandkeets, moms, etc, all the secrets and surprises were so much fun. Thank you everyone for making my guests from Paris feel so welcome![/quote]

Meatloafs were in the fridge in the RV. They never made it to the tables on the island...no space to set up a sandwich line.

Next year, we'll have Tons of Tables. :D

1. How would you rate your Hoot Island party experience on a scale of 1 to 10? (1 being poor and 10 being outstanding) 10
2. What did you think about the location? a little out of the way, it was a long stumble
3. Did you have trouble finding it? no, I used my good eye :pirate:
4. Do you feel like you got your money's worth? yes
5. Did you get enough to eat and drink? I actually forgot to eat...was too busy drinking. I don't think I drank enough though :pirate:
6. Did we have enough porta potties? I'm a guy, the world is my bathroom 8)
7. Do you think there were too many people? There was a good amount, but not too many.
8. Do you think we should have set a price and put a limit on the number of wristbands? Yes and yes. But charter members should always get 1st right or refusal on admission.
9. Did you think of anything we needed that wasn't there? Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, a mechanical bull, some circus midgets and a couple bouncers (if it gets any bigger) :P :P
10. What would you have done differently to make it better? Move the hot tub out of the grass...which quickly became mud.
11. Please share any other comments or suggestions. I'd like to remember more next time, what can you do about that taking into account I didn't drink all I could? :P :P :P
