The yellow corner is the best location-wise, but we'd probably have to hold it overnight on Thursday...
They will just charge you an extra days parking if you pull in on Thursday. Or you could bring it in EARLY Friday morning. But folks do start to get there early to get good spots so if you want a good RV spot, you'd definitely need to bring it in early. I'd call the management to see what time you could pull in.
All parking costs the same amount regardless of how close you get.
They will charge you extra parking for an RV since it takes up extra spaces.

The last time I took the boat to Buffett at Smirnoff, they let me in for free with the concert ticket. I remember because my tickets were in the boat and I had to get them in order to get in. I took up 3 spaces and it didn't cost a thing...
That was 2003 - same thing for Kenny Chesney in 2004.
Has something changed since then?

Hmmm...the website says unless otherwise noted on ticket, parking is $15 per car.
Maybe I did have to pay something, but I know it wasn't much.
Texas Stadium was a different story - $75 a day or something...
I'll call Smirnoff tomorrow to be sure...

I'm going IF I can get a decent price on a plane ticket AND a ticket to the concert.
I've already cleared it with the boss I work for-only thing left is to clear it with the boss I LIVE with.

As good as the yellow corner is, I think this island might be even better.
If we get there early enough we could park all around it and put up signs that say Hoot Island or something.

I love that idea, FP.

I can't remember ever paying for a parking space at Starplex/Smirnoff, but then I'm older than dirt and the memory goes phirst.
I sure hope we can park sideways. Last time, we didn't have much room to spread out.

It may not always be that way in Dallas, but at Alpine, they do their best to shoehorn the max # of cars into the area, and are less than happy if you try to leave much space for setup. And the Island/triangle area looks like a good plan if you can pull it off.

I've found if you get to Dallas early enough (which we didn't do last time) and you go past where everyone's parking, they let you take extra spaces. Maybe we can get there bright and early this time and get a little extra wiggle room!

I know its never said it on the ticket, but , I was pleasently suprised the first time I didnt have to pay for parking...but your right the 'best' spots go EARLY if not the night before. The radio stations had some promotional stuff set up in that area last time (2003) We are taking off work and taking the keets outta school so we will be there early...just depends on if anyone can 'save' spots. (heck we were out at Texas Staduim at ..what ...7:30am I think, and a few stayed the night before)

They start letting people in between 9:00 - 10:00, as I recall.
My plans are to be one of the first in line and to save some spaces for our buddies!

so from an intellectual, "what if" point of view... what time does the "taxi service" start picking up folks from the airport?

Most of that happens on Thursday. D/FW is an hour (at least) from the venue, so I think everyone's flying in on Thursday.
Thursday, the first pick-up is at 3:00, or thereabouts!

hmmm.. so getting in on the first flight of the day would be a lot of napping on airport bench seats. Gotcha

Get outta here! You in?
We have to pick up the RV Thursday morning. Then, drive it to the hotel.
After that, we're yours!
