He hasn't given us a total.....let's talk to him about it. :D
I usually feed 30 people for about $200. Donations will be accepted (at the tailgate) but are not required - I'll just let people pitch in what they think is fair.

I'd like to know how many people want in on the crab boil, so I know how much to buy.

And if anyone else spends money on food, we can split the donations based on our expenses...

Thanks for asking! :)
What's involved in a crab boil?

I use new potatoes, sausage, corn on the cob, shrimp, and crab legs...
People have different names for it - Lowcountry Boil, Frogmore Stew, Beaufort Stew - I usually just call it a crab boil...

Here's a variation without the crab legs;

FourPlay! You're the best!

Count ETP and Keet in on the Low Country Boil.

I'm bringing tons of munchies. My contribution to the party. :D No need to reimburse me.

Here's what's on my list so far:

Dill dip
Crab dip
Phresh phruit and phruit dip
Layered taco dip
Armadillo eggs :o
Jezebel sauce and crackers :wench:
My mom's cocktail sauce for shrimp (OMG, it's awesome!)
Veggies
Chips
Several meatloafs - my mom's recipe - for cold meatloaf sandwiches during the day.
Several pans of TO DIE PHOR BROWNIES (one is already earmarked for Mrs. Play and the keetintheoven)
Key Lime Meltaways (so good you will want to slap your grandmother)
Mojito mixings
Margarita mixings
Cokes, Dr. Pepper and Sprite
Peach Tea

When I get a few minutes in the next day or so, I'll "coordinate" menu; basically just keep track of who is bringing what, to make sure nothing really important get missed.

The Okie group will pitch in. $20 per person, and I'll get a head count of exactly how many for you. At least five...............
Sweet!
That should put us at $400 so far, looking for $600 total...
And it doesn't have to be $30 per person - every little bit helps :)
These aren't the exact models, but they'll give you an idea - check out the website for more info...

How far is the drive from Tampa to Dallas?? What if we were to sail over... man I just saw the food list and that alone would be worth pitching in and coming over!!!
But I fear it may not be in the cards - I will have to figure out a way.... There are WAY too many cool people going to this show!!!!!

I haven't actually done that trip, but you could probably do it in 15 hours. Of course it's a pretty straight shot across the Gulf to Houston too...

TPA is still open for business, aren't they? :P

Or you could do Amtrak with a stop in New Orleans...

OK, I've done all the "research" and really want to press the button to buy my hotel & air fare. Just how "solid" is the date? Don't want to be in Dallas w/o Jimmy :o
