I like my Bloody Mary's real spicy. I know they are good when I need a beer chaser to go with them. That's why I use Absolut Peppar Vodka with the RedEye Mix (when I can find it...it's hard to find up here in Chicago).

I should also add that I've made my own pepper flavored vodka with some success. Take a decent vodka and add cut up jalapenos to the bottle. Good for cajun martinis as well.

try about 6 drops of .357 magnum Hot sauce in the bottle of vodka.. more if it isn't hardcore enough. It will get your attention.

For anyone wondering what they can do to help
There is no charge to just hang out and bring your own stuff, but we are asking for advance contributions for people who plan to eat/drink/use the restroom facilities. The deadline to have money delivered to ETP is Friday, April 7th.

We couldn’t be having a party of this magnitude if people weren’t pitching in to help out. $30 isn’t a required amount and never was – it’s up to each individual to decide what they think is fair and contribute accordingly. It isn’t fair for people who haven’t paid anything to eat all the food, drink all the beer, and fill up the restrooms.

We're using wristbands to tell who has paid and has access to all of the stuff. The wristbands are being sent out before the concert so we don’t have to worry about handing them out at the tailgate.

We're using the money to cover costs for food, beer, and other one-use items. And if there is any surplus after expenses, it will be used to supplement the Phruitcakes in the Kitchen donation to Hospice.

In order to keep everything together and accounted for, we are sending all of the money to ETP. This also keeps us from having a ton of cash onhand at the concert. She and I are working together daily to keep each other accountable and track receipts. We will split the contributions according to our expenses. Send a Private Message to Four Play for the address to use. Please include your address and tell me how many wristbands you need.

All of the people sending advance donations are our “Hoot Island Founding Members”. In addition to the wristbands for these people and their guests, Phins1026 has offered to make special nametags. These are NOT traditional BN nametags - they are specific to this event! Nametags are reserved for registered BN'ers only. If your spouse/friend/whatever wants a nametag, sign them up on BN and give me their screen name. Let me know if you need a generic lanyard(s) and I'll send those out too.
The custom nametags are not for sale, they are just a bonus for deciding to contribute to the party expenses.

To make sure all of the nametags and wristbands are delivered in time, I will send them out the week of Monday, April 17th.
The deadline to have advance money delivered to ETP is Friday, April 7th.

Music
ABQkeet is a deejay in Albuquerque. He is getting a professional sound system and will be spinning tunes at the tailgate party. If you want to bring your CD's, please bring them in a case marked with your name. He wants to make sure that everyone leaves with what they brought.


Tailgate Phood
At the tailgate, we'll have a lowcountry boil and crawfish boil. We'll also have brisket and cheeseburgers for the non-seafood eaters. ETP is bringing plenty of other stuff too.

If you or anyone in your group wants seafood, let me know how many people want which kind. Just post in the thread or send me a Private Message. The lowcountry boil has shrimp, crab legs, sausage, new potatoes, and corn. There is no extra cost for this, it's included in the donations that ETP is getting.
