This is my dilemma. I actually have 2 sets of tickets for this concert and will be giving one of the sets to my brother and his girlfriend. But I have no idea which to give him!
One set is on the lawn. I figure I will get more of the true Buffett experience there. The other set is in section 202, pretty far back. But still, expensive reserved seats.
WWJBD?but truly laid back and relax and enjoying the music of the islands
Not saying that Dallas doesn't have the mellow vibe, but the lawn has been a zoo everywhere I've been.
Who's going to Dallas 4/28?

That map came from Street Atlas on my PC.Phox2 wrote:Hey FP...what site did you get that map from? I have been to MAPQUEST and printed the directions from the Fairfield to the concert but the actual map it prints off is not detailed at all? Do you know where I could go to get one that would enable me to highlight the "trail to the tailgate?"
You might try Rand McNally if you don't like Mapquest.

Thank you all very much!!! I just have this vision of being in Dallas, checking into the hotel, and DYING to get to the parking lot...then getting lost and being really late!!!! I am so flipp'n ready for this event...I even dreamed about it last night! I had a dream that "Hoot Island" was totally formal, everyone was dressed up, sitting around being very quiet and there were no "tailgating decorations!" When it came time for the concert, I fell asleep on the lawn and missed the entire thing!!! Weird!

yeah there are signs everywhere. they all say fair park, starplex or cotton bowl. you won't miss it!conched wrote:Yeah, and I think you should stay on Robert Collum until you get to Fitzhugh and take a left and drive all the way down to the 3rd entrance at the end of the fence to get to Hoot Island.
Fair Park is very easy to find. You won't have any trouble since it is right off I-30.

I'm in my late 30's, don't mind getting beer spilled on me, have no problem standing through the entire concert and definitely don't want to sit through the whole thing either. I hope to spend a good part of the afternoon partying and people-watching in the parking lot but not positive if that's possible due to some scheduling problems.
Off topic, but wow! Did that last sentence have a lot of P's in it, or what?
So which shall it be, lawn or reserved?

Put perfect posterior in planned position=reserved
You know what? You sound like you are open to just about anything.
Why don't you meet up with the other people and trade part of the way if that is an option. For the difference in the price you could just average it out. That way you can all experience both.
