Here is the sunrise over Haleakala from Wednesday morning.
ARRGH Was a little toasted last night and my plunderin' side came out- We now have a top for the (non working) still that almost exactly matches the picture FP made

I cannot BELIEVE I drove to Crockett (160 miles one way, I thought it was MUCH closer) and back yesterday to AATW. Got home at 2:30 this morning. Fabulous show. All the time I was watching 'em . . . and especially during the TEXAS songs, I kept thinking....
How can we get these guys (and a REALLY cute/good girl singer) to HOOT ISLAND????
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.

Hey Hoot Islanders.....don't forget chairs.....those who are local or travelling by car, please bring folding chairs for yourselves. If you have room, bring a spare, k?

Is there a WalMart, Target, etc nearby? Last year on a trip, I picked up a camp chair at Wally World for under $15, then checked it through as luggage on the trip home. I actually survived! (and if it hadn't, it was worth every penny of the $15 to have a chair to sit in for my week of prowling various beaches)

that would be a better question for Terry. I DO know there's a Kroger nearby, and I will be visiting it after picking up R2 from the airport. I believe there also is a KK nearby and we ALL will be visiting it at some point!
