Brandon: We're going to be on the island about 10:00 . . . to meet (not meat) the RV guys and unload what we can.
Then, we're scattering to pick up people at the airports . . . did you give your cell # to Alison?
We're meeting at Joe's Crab Shack (Stemmons Freeway and Northwest Highway) for Dinner...they've reserved the patio for us . . . so come join us if you're so inclined.

I knew about the dinner, didnt know if there any earlier plans =) Obviously I will miss the "Unloading at the Island" as my flight doesn't arrive till 10:30, I guess being a tourist for a few hours can't be that bad. Anything to see in Dallas? (too lazy to search)East Texas Parrothead wrote:Brandon: We're going to be on the island about 10:00 . . . to meet (not meat) the RV guys and unload what we can.

If you have time and are so inclined, the 6th Floor Museum at the Book Depository is powerful.KYPARROTHEAD wrote:I knew about the dinner, didnt know if there any earlier plans =) Obviously I will miss the "Unloading at the Island" as my flight doesn't arrive till 10:30, I guess being a tourist for a few hours can't be that bad. The World's Largest Hooters is in the West End. Lots to do in the West End.
The PHC is having their party at a small place, which is why we chose Joe's.
See you there.....Phins UP!!!

You might consider the 6th Floor Museum in Downtown Dallas and Sonny Bryans BBQ for a good Texas BBQ sandwich and cold beerKYPARROTHEAD wrote:I guess being a tourist for a few hours can't be that bad. Anything to see in Dallas? (too lazy to search)
It's not far (up the highway about 6 miles I think) from Joe's Crab Shack where we're having our gathering and/or if you want to make a flyby where the local club is having their gathering it is within walking distance of Dick's Last Resort.

since I don't head out until early Thursday morning, and there is some interest in a list of cell #s, (I know, Auntie has one) just in case someone gets losted off-island and needs help getting back..
If you are going to be on Hoot Island; if you don't mind your phone # being given to relative strangers; and if you don't think I am stepping on toes:
PM me your cell # and an email address, I'll compile the list Wednesday night and send it out. If this is an amenable idea?

I'll carry the magic ponchos..... Been hauling them around for two years, and only been rained on once in the parking lot, and that quit before the show. The ponchos have never been opened.
