NO LAS VEGAS ????????

Hey guys im new here and thought i would put some thought into this.While back i booked a room at the flamingo hotel for 75 a night for the week of april 16-20. Now for the same week its mosty going for over $200.00 a night .Ichecked alot of hotels that week flamingo seems to be the most expensive over all.I know Jimmy will be less then a hour flight from there with his dates in AZ and CA.Not to get anbody excited.I wonder if the flamingo knows something about a Margaritaville show we do not know about and thats why the prices are so high.Or i could be just dreaming and hoping for a show while I am there

The first time I ever traveled out of NY to go to a Buffett concert was 6 years ago. It was for a Vegas show on my birthday.

the Margaritavilles Have....NO advance knowledge of any Jimmy Shows.... none.. zip..nada....

I thought the price increase at the hotels was because it's Easter weekend.

Okay peeps, if this is true, it looks like I will see Jimmy two weeks in a row . . . I was kind of hoping for a Fall Vegas show simply thinking that I save money hoping on an airplane and seeing him somewhere other than Vegas.

Okay, here is the scoop I got last night at the Casino night (and by the way, we won the auction for the Las Vegas trip and JB tickets).

From what I understand there are going to be two shows for us to chose from...one in the spring and one in the fall. The one in the fall is suppose to be the second or third weekend in Oct. MY BIRTHDAY!!

How many times a year does Buffett play Vegas? My mother is out there and I had her harrass Margaritaville and MGM if she can get anything out of them. She is pretty good about that. But there are many times it is rumors to them also.

I would love to see him in Vegas - I love Vegas to begin with!

I am feeling pretty lucky - think I will book a room now while I can get a decent rate and see what happens - and if Jimmy doesn't play maybe I will hit Vegas anyway - the Craps table is calling me!!

April 15th sounds like a good date. Plus Vegas is a better place to open the tour - who knows??

Rumor for Vegas
I heard via 'mums-the-word'. That Buffett was planning to be in Vegas early but it has been tossed aside. October still high on probabilty list

Usually the M'ville staff know based on what they might see here on the boards. If he is going to make a visit to one, it is usually only on a few hours' notice.

ok.. here's what i know....

i talked to my buddies on the inside....

tried to get some idea of whether or not there will be a vegas show and when it would be this year....

both of them told me that I could pretty much go ahead and plan on being in Vegas for my birthday again.... that means Jimmy may be playing Vegas October 21st....
