What venues will be lucky in June and get a show ???????

Post by Steele1161 »

Assuming Jimmy will be playing in Florida and the South in May, what dates can we expect in June?

Here are his normal summer stops over the past 3 years (annual show(s) at that location)

Phil/NJ - Tweeter Center (1)
Pittsburg, PA - Post Gazette Pavilion (1)
Chicago, Il - Tweeter Center (2)
Mansfield, MA - Great Woods (2)
Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion (1)
Cincinnati, OH - Riverbend Music Center (1)
Noblesville, IN - Verizon Wireless Music Center (2)
Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Blossom Music Center (1)
East Troy WI - Alpine Valley Music (1)
Wantagh, NY - Jones Beach Theater (1)
Baltimore, MD -Merriweather Post (1)
Detroit, MI - DTE Music Theatre (1)

There is no way he can get everybody in this year. My guess is that he will play 3 weeks in June or move the last week to the week after labor day (following the PGA golf tournament in Norton)

Week 1 (week of June 5th)
Pittsburg, PA - Post Gazette Pavilion (1)
Chicago, Il - Tweeter Center (2)

Week 2 (week of June 12)
East Troy WI - Alpine Valley Music (1) or Indy
Phil/NJ - Tweeter Center (1)
Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion (1)

Week 3 (week of June 19th)
Wantagh, NY - Jones Beach Theater (1)
Mansfield, MA - Great Woods (2)

Anybody else want to guess?

I'm a little confused. I went to see him in East Troy 2 times in the last 3 years...why do you only have him listed there once?

What I meant was that annually he plays 1 show in East Troy. He may have played at that location twice over the past 3 years twice

Hmmm...Not bad, the only change would be that if Alpine gets 1, then Chicago gets 1 and the extra goes to Ohio or Indy.

I also think this will be spread out over May/June and August/September.

Toronto should get a show as well. After nine years' absence, Jimmy played there last year and promised to be back this year. Assuming he's true to his word, I'd look for a Toronto date +/- ten days of Pittsburgh. So - anywhere from May 26 to June 16. (And I'd assume later rather than sooner, given the vagaries of the climate.)

Just like he told Jones Beach he'd be back in 2004. And playing Martha Clara Vinyard and MSG don't count as they were both relatively impromptu with no tailgating. Toronto wouldn't be the first that gets stiffed. :-?

My guess is that the northeast will get the june dates. That would leave the midwest and Vegas for the fall.

I think June 13 is a good date. Worked well last year.

My guess he will not play both Nissan and Merriweather. One stop in the Washington/Baltimore area and it tends to be Nissan. I don't think he has played Merriweather for a couple years.

I pray for Alpine this year, but I am not taking the chance again like last year so I am going to both Irvine shows just in case :D
