Toronto had a pre-sale too. I got 8 tix from it.
This year: I've got an AMEX card (front of the line), joined the http://www.maplereefers.ca & also hoping for a pre-sale opportunity.

I'm not exactly sure how to get good seats. I'm working various angles at the same time.
I know a Parrothead club gets a block of seats and each member only gets a chance at a certain amount. Usually good seats too.
I'm signed up for several venue's e-mailing lists in Toronto, just incase he changes venue this year. He had no trouble selling out a 16,000 seat show in Toronto. Perhaps he could add a 2nd show?
I also registered with Ticketmaster.com & .ca
My wife & I plan to take our 5 year old son this year. Our 3 year old just would not understand it all.

There's no way a 16 month old belongs on the lawn..... they really could get hurt..... but IMHO, I think a baby-sitter is a better idea for the little one....okieparrot wrote:So in all reality how do you get the best seats. Ive always been on the lawn unless it was inside of course. But im bring my wife, 14 year old son, my 19 year daughter, and my 16 month old daughter, would i be better staying on the lawn? I just cant ever get decent tickets so i end up on the lawn.
Carry on as you know they would want you to do. ~~JB, dedication to Tim Russert

Have you been hearing any rumours about a T.O. concert this year? I know Jimmy promised to "come back next year" - I was standing about 30 metres from him when he said it - but I'm thinking that with him taking the summer off and all, he can't be everywhere. Last years show was fantastic, the best of all his concerts that I have been to and well worth the six hour flight. I'm pretty sure that I will be going down to Mountain View just to make sure that I don't miss him this tour, but I would love to see him in Toronto again this year.

The last time Jimmy played the City of Salt he said "We'll be back next year", that was in 1992 and he hasn't been back since. In otherwords don't count on him showing just because he "promised" to come back.Harbour Shark wrote:Hey Spazmogen!Spazmogen wrote:I'm not exactly sure how to get good seats. With the rumblings of an Australian swing, perhaps BC will get some attention as well.
You must have had good connections to get seats that close. I was in on the pre-sale (about 5 hours after it started) and was lucky to get an actual chair. I was 3 rows away from having a lawn seat.
