Well, there has always been an ongoing debate about who has the better tailgating...GW or AV. I've done both, (and am clearly biased by my home venue), but I'd take Alpine any day of the week. Great Woods was fun, but there seemed to be too many "private" parties....meaning groups were unfriendly to outsiders, where at Alpine, you can wander in and out of most parties, welcomed with open arms. That was the difference for me.

I will give my honest opinion on the days following JUNE 10th. GW is great. I love it. I hear awesome things about Alpine. In the past I think GW was labor day weekend so it also gave pholks an extra day to recover which meant partying harder. I will be at GW again this year so it will be a good year to judge.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, we had a blast at GW. The difference was that at Alpine, we usually party with our neighbors, and also wander to other parties, and get welcomed with open arms.

At GW, we had a self-contained party, because most people seemed uncomfortable letting strangers into their clique.

But we still had a blast.

Hmmmm, I've always thought the people at GW were a blast whether they were strangers or not. I always felt welcomed

Come Monday, it will be alright, come Monday, we'll be holding our tickets tight.... It's been 1 long year without Jimmy near and he's coming back to Alpine this time.....

Attention to those who are going on the bus trip:


Don't forget to write BUFFETTNEWS on the order form if you want to all get together on the same bus....Rob needs an approximate head count for how many there will be and then he will put a sign in one of the buses saying "BUFFETTNEWS" that would be the bus we should all jump on!!

I just found out about the Bus last night on JimmyDreamz.com .. We are coming in from Detroit, MI and are looking to have a blast. The party bus looks like a lot of fun.

We will be sending in our order tomorrow morning.

I can't wait!

I don't really post much, but I was trying to find a place to stay and couldn't find anything near there. Then I found out about the bus. We are pumped! Couldn't get anything at the Best Western, but was able to secure a room at Motel6. Not the greatest room, but I just need a place to sleep.

Never been to WI before. We are looking forward to it.

It will be a great time, I assure you...Rob who has been doing the bus trip for 9 years is a friend of mine and we all like to have fun!!!! You will not be disappointed!!! Can't wait to meet you!!! and remember Friday night is the Parrothead ball at the Best Western....great party with great bands!!!

So what do you guys think about the ticket limit...all of the concerts thus far have had a 6 ticket limit....Alpine has always had 8, but I haven't kept up on what other venues were in the past. Do you think Alpine will be 6 or 8 and do you think they will break up pricing like a lot of the other venues have been at 36/96/and 126????? thoughts?
