I am thinking typo or they mean that is when the parking lot opens. I am not sure I can pace myself from 6:30am until show time, but I am willing to try

Yep, 6:30 is when the gates to the amphitheatre usually open. The parking lot, though, who knows. What they say they're going to do and what they actually do are different things. Parking lot may open as early as 9am, but can be much later, depending on whether they can find the keys.

I am glad the excitement is start to build.!!!

If you are interested in eating and drinking with us send me an e-mail or PM with the # of people in your party.I appreciate everyone volunteering to help out with $$$'s(that keeps my wife off my back some).

When I get an idea of how many people we have I can give a general dollar figure and if you can donate that will be great.
If you are a liquor drinker I suggest you bring your own bottle because most of our group drinks beer and we are planning on a keg of Corona and a few others,but will not be bringing a bunch of different liquors with us.
We are trying to make this as simple as possible,so we are not setting up,cooking and working all day,we can enjoy the day and party.
I will be sending a map to Topless that she will include in the phone list e-mail or I can e-mail it directly to you if need be.
We were told they would be opening the gates around 8:30am to the parking lots(they had the first concert of the season there last weekend and thats what tthe attendants told us.)We will be sitting at the gate @ 8am, If you are at the hotel with Topless and BG and would like to follow us to the venue be prepared to leave @ 7:30am sharp.I live about 10 miles south of the hotel and we will be happy to stop by and let anyone join the trek to the ampitheater.

I believe we are going to have one hell of a time welcoming Buffett back to the ATL.

my first trip to Lakewood for Buffett next week. I know the lots there are sprawling - any suggestions for where to enter or which lot is choice? We are going EARLY.

just read the whole thread - looks like an early entrance to the right of the lake is the way to fly? How do you get to the lot to the left of the lake?

Theres really only two entrances, one on this side and one on that side. I think most are shooting for the entrance on Lakewood Avenue, which is on the southeast side. The other is on Pryor Road, on the west side.

Sunny day? nope, usually rains at around 3 or 4 then drys for the show. Although this one year, during the 3rd song......woosh!

If you're looking at the Google pic, the lot adjacent to the lake has a cross over. The lot nearest the long buildings (to the east-southeast)usually isn't open to the public.

OK, I have got a good # of request from people wanting to tailgate with us and offering $$$ to help. I have set up a PayPal account if you would like to donate, I figuring $15-$20 per person for food and beer for the day.If this does not sound fair please tell me I am not good at figuring out what to charge people you want to party with

We are planning on doing a BBQ with chopped pork, Brunswick stew, several sides and fixins, of course will be doing Cheeseburgers and all the fixings. We are planning on a keg of Corona and a keg of Bud light or Michelob light and of course 300-400 jello shots,music games and who knows what else.
